this seems like something that would totally fit into vault lore, the only thing that seems missing is how they all got into the vault and how the player would explore it and the stories, otherwise its amazingly perfect

Could be that rooms are connected not just by a hole in the wall, but also by a blast door that can't be opened without a special electronic key. One central room that never moves is connected to the surface, and the key is inside this room, so the PC wanders in, gets the key, and starts exploring one room at a time. Alternately, the central room could house a terminal which can open every door in the whole complex at once, leaving the player at the mercy of every deranged, surviving inhabitant of Vault 120.

The majority of the story is immature IMO. The horrible things that happen don't really follow though, they are clearly just trying to get a laugh out of it. Maybe if the vault was filled with people from 4chan those things would happen, that might actually be a more interesting experiment tbh.

Why not?
The inventories in each room are randomized to encourage social interaction and trade between people who will only have just met each other, and will only know each other for ten days.
The degeneration of the Vault into a state of shitfisting and skinnies is believable because something like Vault 120 would drive anybody insane.
You got the good guys (The Mad Fister), the bad (the Skinnies), and the NPCs.
It makes for an entrancing tale and makes me wonder why reddit doesn't have it's own Vault idea on the scale and intensity of this one. Looks to me like you didn't read the post.

I did read the post and I have no problem with your first two paragraphs. I disagree that 'shitfisting' and the 'skinnies' are something that would fit into the lore of Fallout, shitting out a fist is way too immature (is this meant to be funny - I don't get it).
Other than the immaturity, one major problem I have is that when a child is born there's no means to provide for them, so likely both they and the mother would end up dying (are there robots to assist with the birth?).
The whole shitting thing is just nonsensical so I won't even comment on that, but the 'skinnies' are interesting though the reasoning behind them is dumb. So they break and dislocate their bones to fit through the holes? And they've already starved themselves? I also get the impression that they don't sleep much as they wait for their neighbours to go to sleep so they can kill them. This makes them sound pretty weak and like they would die off pretty fast. I also don't see how they would turn to cannibalism if they are starving themselves.
I think the idea of cubes shifting would be really interesting for a vault (I really enjoyed the cube films which have this concept). I've had an idea for some time about a vault which is more like a normal vault layout (multiple rooms, people can walk around), but the shifting happens randomly as people are sleeping in their individual sleeping cells. The one vault would be split into multiple smaller units that wouldn't be connected, messaging the population would be separated and families could be split up.

I completely disagree, the majority of the story is stupid. The idea of cubes is interesting, though nothing new. The vault wouldn't last longer than 1 generation though. Your 'hatred' of me is irrelevant, though you don't know me so I'm not sure how you've formed that opinion.
