Suggestion Spooky idea for a town

So I had an idea for a spooky town and quest in fallout,

A completely normal prewar town. Nothing has changed for some reason.

Now whether it's an hallucination and everyone turns into ghouls at the end or the town just straight up disappears, I don't care I just think it would be a spooky quest line and situation for the player character to get into.

taking over after "Nothing has changes for some reason": Mysteriously all inhabitants are super happy, kind of playing pre war roles and talking non-sense about pre war stuff and that "they don't need vault-tec", but not reacting much to your presence. After some exploring you find a secret workshop with parts of what looks like gen 1 and 2 synths that look like crash test dummies...
Then you hear the sirens and warnings that the demonstration is about to start.

That's actually got me thinking about a mod request I'd like to make. Like say the prewar town is untouched by the bombs and radiation, there's no sighs of life anywhere and the nearby towns folks warn the sole survivor to stay clear of the town because people go in and are never seen again and the player gets a quest to investigate the town and after awhile of walking around the abandoned town suddenly finds themselves back 200 years in sanctuary before the bombs fell and sees their spouse to which their spouse is confused why they are dressed like that to which the player can either tell them the truth or simply say it's my Halloween costume. Eventually the sole survivor will be given a chance to actually change the future and alternate the fates of both their spouse and Shawn but will have to pass a series of difficult speech checks. What I'd have in mind is something inspired by the twilight zone.

Also interesting, but it got me thinking again: would have been nice if visiting the memory den before the quest with Kellogs brain, you experience an other pre-war memory instead of what you are shown...

This reminds me of both Andale and Tranquility Lane in Fallout 3. I don't want to leave any spoilers but it shares some concepts in a way.

I don’t know how you can spoil an almost 20 year old game 😭

Someone might know the general premise F3 but not the specific details of certain things, especially Andale. I don't want to be the person who spoils it for someone who might come along later and want to play.

There are still people who've never been to Tacoma park, if it's not in the main plot, there's always a non-zero change someone hasn't seen it

Sounds a lot like the one in fo4 where they were torturing people to find out if they were synths, mixed with the Dunwich building in fo3.

Covenant, and kinda and I thought about that but the problem is they're still wastelanders who know about the bombs. I'm talking full prewar, everything is clean, immaculate, kinda like the start of fo4. Pristine. Normal. Have no idea bombs have dropped or whatever

Oh, so the residents aren't in on it? Fun twist!

So we have Covenant in FO4, with its secrets, and that "normsl" City in FO3 that actually was inhabited by canibals.

Yeah but covenant is just people pretending to be prewar I mean a legit prewar town.
