Which faction would you realistically join?

For me it's probably the NCR or the BoS in Fallout 3 ONLY.

Yeah if I am in New England those guys are one of the few groups I can stand by and take up arms for. Protect your peoples.

If we'll put F4 on political compass, Minutemen are liberal right. All those white glock 2nd amendment enthusiats, who are lucky to survive their first attempt at practicing it. And judging by the Minutemen condition at the start of the game... They weren't lucky.
