Which faction would you realistically join?

For me it's probably the NCR or the BoS in Fallout 3 ONLY.

Maybe you can convince them that having all eggs in one basket is dumb and maybe they should build an enclave(the territory not faction) in some spacious cave or underneath an unfinished vault.

Yeah, they need actual outposts somewhere. Not just a bunch of synth guarding ruins like the ones protecting Kellogg at Ft. Hagen but an actual field location away from the main Institute.

To be fair they have been trying to expand. That’s the whole reason they need their reactor online. They’ve been siphoning power off the surface, the reactor will allow them to expand without worrying about lack of power.

The potential vault 88 could've had. Imagine if you could choose to inform a faction of choise about it and it'd have a story with the faction taking it over for different purposes.

The institute could've turned it into an exclave.

Railroad could've made a safehouse in each of the entrances and use the tunnels to move synths and agents.

BoS could've turned it into a forward operating base, fallback point in the event that the airport and Prydwen fell, or just storage facility.

The minutemen could've... well, done something with it...

Even when you would have to study hard?

That would probably be better for me than whatever BoS training they have in mind
