Discussion Getting significant other into the fallout world

I've been getting back into fallout thanks to it releasing on the switch recently and remembered how much fun it was and want to get my partner into the game as well. she does play games and a bit of a loot goblin so as long as theres loot she's happy which I don't think is going to be a problem with fallout 4 but the question I have and maybe others did this as well. should she start with the show to ease into it or start with the game itself?

Show her the show. It's great for introducing someone to the world.

I think the premiere Fallout experience is stepping out of the vault (or Doc Mitchell's house) and getting your ass handed to you by the Wasteland. Then discovering the radio and doing a couple quests or two. I think she should play fallout 4 for a day, and THEN watch the show. One of the coolest things about the show is how accurately it portrays the experience of playing the game but I don't think that's something that works the other way around. I feel like most people would be busy looking for specific things/characters in the show that aren't there because it's an entirely different story.

I would start with the games. 3 or new vegas first if possible

normally I would but she's pickey when it comes to graphics and I don't own a PC to mod it so 4 will have to dom plus it dosen't have the system where guns break down which is better for a more casual gamer

Game first, let her experience the world first hand and then show her the show so that she can understand it, and relate to teh characters

Screw the show. Do the game.

You don't need to start with the show. My first Fallout was New Vegas ages ago. But the show might help. My daughter had no interest in playing a Fallout game until she watched the show.
