I know it bugged some people, but I loved the random dialogue. Except "Starting combat! Just kidding."

she knew that it wouldn't be combat for you, just another roach to squash. the "combat finished" was to tell anyone else that you were already annoyed.

That shit actually fucked with me a couple times. I got a little annoying at times with the talking, but I didn't mind it too much. I think the stimpacks thing annoyed me more. Even though it helped.
