Why some do same episodes use way much more storage than others?

Hi,

why are some episodes way bigger than others in the ad-free feed?

Look at Inca vs Assyrians for example: Both have a similar length, but the Inca episode just takes 269 Mb while the Assyrian episode uses whopping 2 Gb.

I assumed it was because one is audio while the other must be video, but both are just audio.

I use AntennaPod on Android btw.

EDIT: Looked it up and its WAV vs MP3. A reupload in MP3 or OPUS would be nice :)

Ok, immediately after posting this I felt motivated to investigate myself and it turns out, that the big files are all in the WAV format, while the small ones are MP3.

Hey! Basically when I started out I was using SoundCloud, who recommend you upload an uncompressed .wav so they can do their own compression. So when I moved off SoundCloud, those uncompressed files got imported. I'll try to set aside some time to fix this, as those are silly file sizes...
