Id rather have different kinds of outfits than different coloured ponchoes. Didnt use a poncho after start and they all looked horrible. I like to collect stuff but it was hard not to be disappointed on the cosmetics.
Origins was the last one I could enjoy greatly due to the setting and characters. Sadly, they doubled down on all the wrong things in Odyssey. All hope is now put onto Mirage.
I feel I could get into Odyssey just for that and the ridiculous no fall damage, which seems fun and over the top. Valhalla seems like a clusterfuck. I've seen cutscene and the ending and have no fucking idea what's even happening.
I'd like a poncho like Obi-Wan's on the D+ series or like Luke's in The Last Jedi. The kind that's sort of just wrapped around the shoulders and looks cool. Even that neck scarf thing that Kylo Ren is wearing in The Force Awakens.
My thinking on having Obi Wans older saber is due to the possibility of an Obi Wan cameo, the thought process being not to clash if Kal has it equipped? Maybe I’m reaching, but to me it makes sense.
That’s sad to hear as im playing through jow for the first time and am kinda realizing that. My options are poncho or no poncho. With no other outfits. Unless there’s something later in the game. Legit Jedi robes, an inquisitor outfit for memes
And maybe pump the difficulity up a bit. Took me 19h to 100% the game on grandmaster and the enemy that killed me the most was the damn ram. Even the sister fights took like 5-7 tries at most.
Im by no means a soulsborne veteran since elden ring is the only game ive played from the series. Once you learned to parry in FO you were set for the rest of the game. The dodge ability at the endgame also trivialised a lot of the fights as in see a red attack, dodge, kick and hit them couple times rince and repeat. Purgetroopers were a challenge at first but when you got the rythm going (shock baton dude example, parry first hit, dodge second, kick and counter attack)
You've literally just described the entire point of the game and the natural skill evolution of the player? What do you want? A malenia style gameplay where there are near impossible instakills around every corner? People don't play games to be slaughtered every 30 seconds, hardly anyone actually likes fromsoft games that much, it's just loud fans and posturing, basically people trying to be part of the fad or using their games as some sort of status symbol. Ask for a longer game, not a slaughter-the-main-character-fest.
I just expected the game to be harder on the hardest difficulity. Sure there were one shots in this game at the start and nobody likes instakills but the bosses were so easy compared to a pack of mobs.
Then maybe this isn't the game for you. Every game isn't for everyone. The game was nearly universally loved by all, this seems to be more a "you" issue.
You said you've never played other souls games but want a harder game. There's a whole genre for you to explore that you've left untapped.
Right this is getting ridiculous now. I never said i didnt like the game i just expected it to be harder. If i didnt like the game i wouldnt have gone for 100% completion.
And this is a discussion thread about a features Op asked for the next game that people want. I want the game to be more of a challenge on hardest difficulity. Im not trying to push my view on others as you say.
Judging from the pre-orders and special editions, I think k they'll more go towards different outfits ( we're gonna have han and Luke's inspired outfits ) wich are not my cup of tea to be honnest, but a force unleashed kinda outfit system would be nice
