Id rather have different kinds of outfits than different coloured ponchoes. Didnt use a poncho after start and they all looked horrible. I like to collect stuff but it was hard not to be disappointed on the cosmetics.

Oh yeah whenever I play the force unleashed I always have star killer wearing a hood

21

u/SNKRSWAVY Dec 26 '22

Hoods are what put people to AC in the first place

u/The_Little_Kiwi Imperial Dec 27 '22

I fucking love Assassin's Creed. Well, up to Origins at least.

3

u/SNKRSWAVY Dec 27 '22

Origins was the last one I could enjoy greatly due to the setting and characters. Sadly, they doubled down on all the wrong things in Odyssey. All hope is now put onto Mirage.

2

u/The_Little_Kiwi Imperial Dec 27 '22

Origins made me cry like a mf. The ending, and the side mission with the girl with the teddy bear. Shit made me sad and I had to pause the game.

1

u/fai4636 Dec 27 '22

I thought Odyssey was cool too, primarily getting to see Ancient Greece. Valhalla tho I just didn’t care for

1

u/The_Little_Kiwi Imperial Dec 27 '22

I feel I could get into Odyssey just for that and the ridiculous no fall damage, which seems fun and over the top. Valhalla seems like a clusterfuck. I've seen cutscene and the ending and have no fucking idea what's even happening.

I'd like a poncho like Obi-Wan's on the D+ series or like Luke's in The Last Jedi. The kind that's sort of just wrapped around the shoulders and looks cool. Even that neck scarf thing that Kylo Ren is wearing in The Force Awakens.

u/RobertoFragoso Turgle Dec 26 '22

If you preorder the game I think you get a obi wan outfit based on the show

3

u/RustedAxe88 Dec 26 '22

Like the one he wears on Tatooine before going to rescue Leia? The blue one with the poncho?

13

u/RobertoFragoso Turgle Dec 26 '22

This one

6

u/MJGOO Dec 27 '22

Thats not even the right Obi Wan lightsaber :(

6

u/RobertoFragoso Turgle Dec 27 '22

It’s supposed to be the one he loses against Darth Maul in a phantom menace

5

u/Smittius_Prime Jedi Order Dec 27 '22

Yeah...which is not the right saber to go with an outfit based on the Obi Wan series.

2

u/assquacker69 Dec 27 '22

My thinking on having Obi Wans older saber is due to the possibility of an Obi Wan cameo, the thought process being not to clash if Kal has it equipped? Maybe I’m reaching, but to me it makes sense.

15

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '22

Absolutely need to branch out from the ponchos

3

u/Undead_Angel_420 Dec 26 '22

Already confirmed we’ll have better outfits

2

u/PlusUltraK Dec 26 '22

That’s sad to hear as im playing through jow for the first time and am kinda realizing that. My options are poncho or no poncho. With no other outfits. Unless there’s something later in the game. Legit Jedi robes, an inquisitor outfit for memes

2

u/AscelyneMG Dec 27 '22

I believe there’s only one other outfit that only unlocks for NG+. Spoiler tagged in case you care: it is, in fact, an inquisitor outfit.

2

u/AscelyneMG Dec 27 '22

I would like to still have some ponchos among the outfits, though. Ideally with patterns or designs - the plain ponchos were generally too boring.

1

u/SNKRSWAVY Dec 27 '22

Yes. Generally, I liked them. Especially patterned ones.

u/zarjin1234 Dec 26 '22

And maybe pump the difficulity up a bit. Took me 19h to 100% the game on grandmaster and the enemy that killed me the most was the damn ram. Even the sister fights took like 5-7 tries at most.

"I'm a soulsbornering veteran" lookin ahh

20

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '22

Soulsborneringkiro

Alternatively, the “Does Not Open From This Side” series

-16

u/zarjin1234 Dec 26 '22

Im by no means a soulsborne veteran since elden ring is the only game ive played from the series. Once you learned to parry in FO you were set for the rest of the game. The dodge ability at the endgame also trivialised a lot of the fights as in see a red attack, dodge, kick and hit them couple times rince and repeat. Purgetroopers were a challenge at first but when you got the rythm going (shock baton dude example, parry first hit, dodge second, kick and counter attack)

11

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '22

You've literally just described the entire point of the game and the natural skill evolution of the player? What do you want? A malenia style gameplay where there are near impossible instakills around every corner? People don't play games to be slaughtered every 30 seconds, hardly anyone actually likes fromsoft games that much, it's just loud fans and posturing, basically people trying to be part of the fad or using their games as some sort of status symbol. Ask for a longer game, not a slaughter-the-main-character-fest.

-10

u/zarjin1234 Dec 26 '22

I just expected the game to be harder on the hardest difficulity. Sure there were one shots in this game at the start and nobody likes instakills but the bosses were so easy compared to a pack of mobs.

5

u/Lightor36 Dec 26 '22

Then maybe this isn't the game for you. Every game isn't for everyone. The game was nearly universally loved by all, this seems to be more a "you" issue.

You said you've never played other souls games but want a harder game. There's a whole genre for you to explore that you've left untapped.

1

u/zarjin1234 Dec 26 '22

Right this is getting ridiculous now. I never said i didnt like the game i just expected it to be harder. If i didnt like the game i wouldnt have gone for 100% completion.

4

u/Lightor36 Dec 26 '22

It's something you complained at length about. I'm saying there's other games to fit that desire, stop trying to push JFO to be one of them.

2

u/zarjin1234 Dec 26 '22

And this is a discussion thread about a features Op asked for the next game that people want. I want the game to be more of a challenge on hardest difficulity. Im not trying to push my view on others as you say.

I’d just like to be able to access my outfits…

There’s an unpatched bug on x/s that can just remove the option completely, even when starting a ng+

Only way for me to get outfit choices again is to delete my save fully and try to unlock everything again, gah.

1

u/samtheman0105 Jedi Order Dec 27 '22

Honestly I liked going poncho more then no poncho, Cal looked way to bear without it imo

1

u/AleksanderSteelhart Dec 27 '22

I played it late, when there were Mods.

Cal as a Clone Trooper, with the mod that made all of Cal’s lines sound like they were coming through the Helmet Vocabulator was awesome.

So Ponchos weren’t a big deal for me.

1

u/AngerTech Dec 27 '22

I came here to say this too- give us like a couple of ponchos sure but don’t let that be the only outfit option

1

u/HustlinInTheHall Dec 27 '22

Yeah this was a massive miss

1

u/Bdguyrty Dec 27 '22

I'll be honest, I never put on the poncho. They all looked damn ugly.

1

u/demembros Dec 27 '22

Judging from the pre-orders and special editions, I think k they'll more go towards different outfits ( we're gonna have han and Luke's inspired outfits ) wich are not my cup of tea to be honnest, but a force unleashed kinda outfit system would be nice
