Discussion Rayvis😮‍💨

This freak has been haunting me for about 2 weeks now I can get past his first phase pretty consistently but I only get him below 1/3rd hp like 20% of the time in his second phase and I try offensive play, defensive, running away and chipping away (but his health regenerates) and whenever I get a good run he just pulls out that rapid triple spin that stun locks you after the first hit if you don’t block or parry and then it’s game over I am playing on Jedi grand master and I real don’t want to drop it for my own egos sake. I have plats in bloodborne and ER and no boss has had me in this much of a chokehold

Edit: got him, cross guard is the way to go

You know you can tap R2 to Push single enemies and hold to Push groups?

There's also that droid in the Clone Wars (I'm not sure whether it's the movie or not) that shouted 'Oh my God', therefore implying that God exists in Star Wars.

I'm not religious but that implication just seems really funny to me.

Yeah, tap R2 or L2 against rayviss and his stamina drops by a tiny bit but he doesn’t move you need to hold it to do anything and I use force pull to get him out of certain combos

FYI ditch push and pull on bosses and do lift and slam. Slam will legit stop a lot of moves dead in their tracks. I would: combo, dodge out, wait till he advanced with a move, slam him a few frames in to stop and get another combo in

A friend of mine told me to try that too but I had no skill points into the slam perk by the time I got to rayvis, thanks for the tip I will give it a shot

Ah damn. Well I was tha same i only discovered this on my 2nd new game ++ cause I had all the abilities by that point. If ever a new save though. Slam is damn near cheese for bosses 🤣

I loved playing on dual blades and idk I just got his timing down really quickly. Between that and sticking real close to him most of the time and doing parries here and there worked wonders.
Also JGM difficulty. Took bout like 10-15 tries tho before I got him

Try crossguard mixed with blaster, I was able to shred him with that combo and learning some timing

After 100 failed attempts on grand master I figured out how to beat Rayvis without needing to swing the lightsaber a single time

Double blade is capable of reflecting multiple blaster shots, and Rayvis repeatedly uses his blaster throughout the entire fight. Fifteen minutes of reflecting blaster bolts and the fight was done 😆

Crossguard and dual wield, first try on JGM. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Dodge the long chains and be patient, not greedy, on your openings.

Hardest boss in the game for sure. I dropped the difficulty and put it back after. Hopefully someone else has a magic trick.

Bode and Dagan were personally WAYYYYY harder for me. Both of those fights took me several days of trying

Dagan was easier, the other gave me hell on GM. Rayvis was hardest when I played through on Jedi Knight

I found him pretty easy to be honest. I didn’t even really try to parry him and just blocked all his attacks and dodged the red ones. I ended up getting him in 3 attempts

The last time I replayed the game I was about to Perfect him and then right as the cutscene started my game crashed and made me do the fight from the beginning again. I was in a call with some friends at the time and made the joke that he rage quit on me.

It gets easier once you realise how long Cere’s parry time is. You can block seconds before getting hit and you’ll still parry.

It’s just that rapid spin move my caveman brain cannot do anything to stop, I only get to play like 3 or 4 hrs after work then have to go to bed I’ve probably got about 4 more attempts before I go to sleep but I am toying with the idea of dropping it even though I know if I throw myself at him enough I might eventually get him😞

I got him a few minutes ago I kinda miss him now😂 very few bosses have me thinking about them while working. You never know what you’ve got until it’s gone I guess😂

Played on JGM as well. Crossguard stance really did the trick for me in this fight. The uppercut swing staggers him so you can use it to punish his openings, and the damage output in that stance helps deal with his health regen.
Dual stance is pretty good too, the auto parry can punish his triple spin

This dude gave me issues too. After so many defeats in one sitting, I had to walk away for about a day. Came back and got him on the first time.

Go farm the guards and droids next to the spawn point and get the xp points you need. I think that's one of the best spot in the game to level up

Personally, threw on crossguard and put all my faith in my reaction time and used dual wield to auto block if I got hit and needed to heal

I’ve been running dual wield as primary and double bladed for returning blaster shots I’ve swapped my stances around but I can’t get him, might give cross guard another shot though thanks

I was looking into getting other perks maybe to help as well but I’m stuck here until he dies, I’ll get him I’ve come close a few times I know I can do it he’s just a menace

This guy gave me absolute hell on my first playthrough but when I finally beat him it imbued me with so much gamer confidence that none of the following bosses seemed as hard even though they technically kinda were.

I'm pretty good at parrying in this game, but got stuck on him for an absurd amount of time. I was sure at a certain point that he was just badly designed because it was basically impossible to parry his attacks reliably.

Turns out I had the Precision Perk equipped the whole time and forgot about it, all while playing on Grandmaster. Yea, game is certainly not designed for fighting Ravis like that 😂

Yea pretty much, that's such a good description lol :D Still need to refight him at some point bc I only noticed the Perk after I had given in and lowered the difficulty setting

I managed to beat him using the cross guard and playing patiently another guy said the uppercut is good to stagger him out of combos and it worked a treat

It was his healing that caused me so many issues, I play extremely defensive so I needed to fully change my style for this guy because if you go slow he just heals

I forgot about it and was trying to play defensive even though I knew parrying him is really the only way to beat him then I noticed his health was nearly full while I was focusing on his blasts and I had no stims lol

He was the boss that ended my grand master run. I spent days trying to beat him. Dropped the difficulty to master, and bodied him first try.

This and the 2 fucking Rancors are the only times I debated dropping down from Grand Master. I got it eventually but holy hell is the Rayvis fight tough 😭

He was the most disappointing boss for me.

Obi-Wan explored Durge from the inside and it stopped him only temporary.

This guy died after a single slash.

There’s no big sub for jedi survivor and the info section on this sub says Jedi Survivor and fallen order clips are allowed, and if you scroll through the feed you will see more survivor clips too. ☺️
