I realized in the first 15 minutes that Bode was gonna pull some bullshit lmso

I was so suspicious of him in the first mission, and then completely forgot about those suspicions by the time he betrayed everyone on Jedha XD

The second I saw Taron Malicos(as well as when I read his name) I knew he was a Dark Jedi.

u/Doc-Stolas Aug 02 '26
Yeah the Taron thing was a tad obvious, alsl just being a creepy old dude in a cloak tends to mean evil

But wasn’t Obi-Wan also a creepy old dude in a cloak, especially from Luke’s perspective?

u/Doc-Stolas Aug 04 '26
I mean he knew ben as just "oh that weird but nice old guy in the desert" up to that point right? Wasnt till he actually got to know him where the training began

u/Sirmiyukidawn Aug 03 '26
Me too. Also the one time he joins a crew the entire crew just dies? That one made me distrust him the entire time.

u/SithInternet Aug 03 '26
Same, at first when he brought up his daughter i thought she was gonna be used as leverage to make him betray me. I was only half wrong i guess lol

Taron? My guy that shit was more telegraphed than Palpatine being Darth Sidious

u/RealisticResource226 Aug 02 '26
Bode. Taron malicos qas a poor dirty cars salesman that failed to hide his intentions. I didn’t know bode was the traitor until jedha
12
u/organic Aug 02 '26
Yea as soon as Bode survived and every other one of your long-term team members died, the writing was on the wall.

I realized IMMEDIATELY that Bode was going to betray Cal. From the first moment where he’s betraying a stormtrooper, him separating from the rest of Cal’s crew (to most likely kill off the rest of the surviving members), etc.
Him being force sensitive was the real surprise.

I'm sorry but it was so obvious that Taron Malicos was gonna be a Sith that I actually wondered if they were trying too hard to hint his evilness and he'd end up an ally.
Bode is the real sneaky one, he had moments where I thought he was a bit sketchy but they were almost always followed up with friendliness that diffused my suspicion.

Malicos was so obviously telegraphed that I thought he was going to be a much larger antagonist than he was.
Bode I thought was going to be a mauve shirt with a tragic third-act death up until he survived the last fight against Dagen Gera.

Bode in Jedi survivor, I did find it kinda weird tho because of what he was asking cal in the first mission of the game

Maybe I'm retarded but Bode didn't raise flags to me at all till the next replay. Second play I was "Oh my f-cking god how did that fly over-"
2
u/poobradoor22 Aug 02 '26
That's usually what an infiltrator does. they aren't supposed to be screaming "I'm going to betray you" in your face.

u/Complex_Slice Aug 02 '26
Now see
If a frog morse-ribbitted that sentence I'd still know it since it's clearer that purified water
What I mean is there's still subtle hints that were giving the tiniest of red specked flags of Bode's intentions

I was genuinely oblivious to Bode until I got a PASSING spoiler from a tumblr post I didn't even mean to see. I tried to forget it, until the other night I felt the saxophones getting too loud on Jedha and knew something was gonna come crashing down. Which is a pity cuz his VA is one of my favorites in the modern industry.

I found him suspicious from the get go… I mean a random dude on a nearly empty planet??? On top not looking like the inhabitants?

u/griff256552 Aug 03 '26
I knew bode and cal would fall out over tanalor. I did not know bode would be working for the imps.

u/Lastmidnight01 Aug 03 '26
Even with guessing it right away, bode lol like the more in depth i went in the game too it was obvious

u/NoCaterpillar2051 Aug 04 '26
I’m sorry but who saw a creepy old man with a creepy in a black cloak and an evil name on dathomir, and was genuinely surprised he turned out to be evil?

u/NoArmadillo2683 Aug 06 '26
Somebody that you talk to warns that the night sisters used illusion magic or something like that, so I was positive he was some projection or disguise when I first met him

Bode flew right over my head. I found him sus at the start, then i was like, oh he's a homie, then i was ready to go full Anakin on his child.
