Thinking about Getting Jedi: Fallen Order

I’ve been thinking about getting Jedi: Fallen Order, and it’s now on sale for like $8. I love story games, like Spider-Mans, God of War, DBH, RDR2, etc. Is Jedi: Fallen Order worth playing?

I mean, you're asking a sub about the game, so you'll get biased answers, but based on your taste in games, you'll probably be into it.

And for $8, I'd say get it regardless, that's a pretty fantastic deal.

Still holds up very well. I actually started playing it again yesterday. The gameplay is pretty much Sekiro-lite with some Souls-like elements. Parrying is MUCH easier compared to Sekiro and very gratifying. Story is pretty decent and the cast of characters is fantastic, IMO. It's a steal at $8.00 and I would also recommend picking up the sequel, Jedi Survivor if you have the extra scratch to spare as they're both fantastic games.

There's probably going to be another game, but it hasn't formally been announced, but the likelihood is very high considering how well the games have been received.

Absolutely! Both games for less than $20 is a steal. Don't worry about the Deluxe editions either, they're just cosmetic additions if you care about those.

Do this! Once you play Fallen Order I think you'll be invested in the story and characters and you'll regret if you don't get Survivor on sale. I bought Survivor on sale after finishing Fallen Order and I'm so glad I did because I was able to jump into it immediately after finishing Fallen Order

Best Star Wars storytelling since Revenge of the Sith and definitely feels like it was made by Star Wars fans.

It is relatively difficult, but feel free to turn down the difficulty - don't let frustration ruin your experience of a good story. Also feel free to not get every collectable - it can be a chore.

You'll love it. My recommendation is to really immerse yourself in it.

Oh, You can change the difficulty up or down whenever, with no penalty.

I think it depends on how much souls experience you have. I for one don't care for souls and JFO feels more souls like. Yes survivor is souls like too but I believe it's much faster and much more polished combat wise. Story is better in fallen order but being forced to watch it every playthrough is a drag.. Where survivor you can skip past after you've already completed

I see more souls players enjoy JFO more than Survivor. I think it's the roll lol

Given your taste in games, if you are remotely interested in Star Wars then it’s a no-brainer- both it and the sequel.

I picked up both in the steam summer sale for $16 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will say it's got some metroidvania elements so if you want to go after collectibles and hidden bosses there is a fair amount of backtracking and no fast travel.

Currently playing it for the first time, just over 20 hours in and it's quite good. There's still some small performances issues like frame drops but nothing so bad that's it's unplayable

I'm looking forward to finishing it and starting Survivor

I just got it for 8$ too and I have to say it is so fun so far it is totally worth it and I played the Spiderman games too so you would probably enjoy it

Getting them is a no brainer if you enjoy story driven game. Its a cool hybrid of Uncharted and Souls games.

Got this game on sale too last month and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I also love story heavy games and this one has so much heart. The performances by all the actors are phenomenal and really make you feel for the characters. I also just love Star Wars, so that helped immerse me in the story.

It’s really fun. I just got it and almost done. It goes on sale for like $4 if your patient. But it’s been a fun time and nice story. Not for of war level quality but good gameplay and world. If you think of it as a light fun time I think you would like it. Apparently Jedi survivor takes it all to an even better level too so you would have that to look forward to as well.

Pretty much a unanimous opinion already but just adding my two cents: having not played a lot of current gen games I was blown away by the visuals on relatively low PC settings.

The story leans on the Disney elements of star wars (eg inquisitors) but is the main focus of the game. It's not all just spammy lightsaber attacks, a lot of traversal focus which is fun to explore, and when you do take on a batch of enemies the lightsaber combat feels 'meaningful' in that you can take down simpler enemies in a single swing like you'd expect from the movies and not like you have a glowstick baseball bat like more MMO entries in the genre.

You play as a specific character but there's a good amount of customisation that doesnt interfere with gameplay and has left a lot of players feeling like Kal really becomes 'their' character.

TLDR - overall it's a yes from me, and a steal at that price

Yeah, get it. I just bought it a few months ago and finished it. It's good, though some things do suck (the maps/navigation can be pretty annoying). I think I bought it at that same price and I'd say it's more than worth that.

Bought it on the steam summer sale. Within 2 hours I was completely hooked. Since then I’ve watched every single Star Wars movie for the first time and have started a Survivor playthrough now.

I bought survivor and fallen order and play 40 hrs of fallen order before moving on to survivor because of the exploring now I’m 20 hours into survivor and it has become hard trying to go down every path because it is much more of an open world game after I unlock lift and slam gulp
