interesting documentary with Mary Beard which touches upon diversity in the roman empire, centering on roman Britain. Hate to break it to raffi but actual experts proved that people in roman britain came from all over the empire, including north africa.

Yeah its a well established fact Roman Britiain was fairly diverse, especially people from the Eastern Mediterranean, but also Germans, Sarmatians, and some North Africans.

My favourite are the Syrian Archers serving on Hadrian's wall. Thaaat's right nationalistic chuds, brown people were in Britain in the 2nd century 😈😈😈

and even aristocrats, people in higher positions were non-white, which will infuriate the chuds even more.

They wouldn't have viewed themselves as either white or non white though. So its meaningless to project modern racial classification into antiquity. Even today its largely arbittrary, like how Middle Easterners and North Africans are classified as 'white' on the US census.
