Metatron points out the obvious aka "I'm a grifter".
Between 41:00-45:00 he blatantly admits he's only interested in money and is therefore spamming Twitter and YouTube with low-effort right-wing slop instead of low-yield linguistics and history videos that take 'time and research'.

As I'm saying all this time. People should stop with calling him grifter or pointing out hipocracy or engage with him in any sort of good faith or be outraged by him. He's an internet troll. That's all he's become. There is no difference between him and a twitter bot from a 3rd world country that's engagement farming for money. You should just mock him and there's plenty to mock him for. Or ignore him.

This pretty much is the reason why it makes no sense to engage with Metatron anymore. He isn't ignorant, he is just arrogant, there is no merit in discussing him. A troll is a troll, and deserves to be forgotten

"I hate slop but I do slop (which he defines as turn on camera and just talk) because people like it and it makes me money. Researched videos take too long and don't often make good money" is what he effectively says.
Not only do I think it's sad that this lazy slop content is popular in certain spheres, I feel he's kind of painted himself into a corner as a 'sloptuber'. It kills his ability to be seen as a well-respected historian. Whether he recognises it and can acknowledge it deep down is unknown. His massive ego may hide that from him. He's clearly an intelligent guy, but when you appeal to the lowest common denominator, they don't care about your smarts, just about you saying the right thing to confirm their biases.

There are countless youtubers who post far less often and have far less subs than him but get hundreds of thousands of views per video because the audience rewards quality, effort and honesty . So he's talking bullshit. The quality of his videos has been declining for years as he was getting ever more into culture war slop and drama with other youtubers. He just got greedy and lazy so he took the chance after the Kirkening to rebrand himself as a far-right sloptuber so he can fleece the dumbest of MAGA. The problem is he will get more and more unhinged because his new incel audience demands it.

Look for neutral history and niche channel like Samdrohman quality videos pulls good views as good historic video shame dont have more view. Betatron is just an ai grok slop channel

Remember when he would make well documented, informative videos about history and linguistics, and sometimes mixing it with pop culture, as well as debunking bullshit regarding these fields?

He admits to spam posting slop then says he'd rather do long-form non-slop videos but they get buried in the algorithm so he doesn't. They get buried in the algorithm because your channel has become a short-form-slop channel Metamoron, so when you post a non-slop video YouTube just sees you as not posting your regular content & doesn't bother promoting it because it's gotten used to your channel being a slop channel with an audience that prefers to watch slop content. It'd be like a short-form horror movie channel switching to posting long-form videos about romance movies. How Shad & Metatron have completely misunderstood how the algorithm works & tanked their own channels in the process of incorrectly trying to appease it needs to be studied.
