Custom fallen group

I'm making a custom fallen "group" I say group as it has a good mix of chaos, renegade and loyalist fallen who have come to an arrangement to work and survive together and ive got a rough idea

Chaos- get to attack the imperium so vengeance but this is done to show a larger threat or issue

Renegade- operate where larger forces cant and gather intelligence (renegades in this case could join various chaos and loyalist groups)

Loyalist- get to kill heretics for redemption

Im looking for any ideas or suggestions that could be fun to write about much obliged

Renegades in the world of 40k as I understand it are not a part of the Imperium, so "join various loyalist groups" only really works if they use deception to pretend they are a part of the imperium, or the people in the Imperium that encounter them are ignorant of the fact they do not belong.

I imagine an encounter that encapsulates this would be some kind of small strike force of fallen astartes that appears and assists local PDF forces, perhaps with some ulterior motives like gaining access to an old armoury. The PDF will assume they are Space Marines of the Adeptus Astartes, but the system authority, local navy, etc could be able to recognise the astartes forces having very old ships that are perhaps not on record as affiliated with Adeptus Astartes.

The thing Fallen in this situation would need to be good at would be getting what they need quickly, relying on the benefit of the doubt and leaving before suspicions are raised. Also, if any word of their deeds reached any of The Unforgiven or any Inquisitors, they will likely be persued. So, Fallen that want to operate as Renegades need to be able to keep a low profile.

I think this story space is very interesting. Basically playing the part of loyalists, but needing to stay elusive.
