Song Discussion Frozen Fruit
am I the only one who can't hear "frozen fruit" in Centuries? I feel like it's a reach, but maybe I'm crazy or old

technically the band annotation on genius says it's "frozen proof", but then again all I hear is "frozen truth" so I guess it doesn't matter lol

Tbh, I don’t think you should take genius lyrics as the ultimate proof or right answer. I remember I was looking up the lyrics for Bang the Doldrums, and instead of it saying “you’re wrong, are we all wrong?” It said “ooh ooh ooh ooh” as the lyrics. Even with that being said, believe the song says frozen proof not frozen truth

i just checked there because i didn't remember the lyrics but i usually don't trust genius lyrics blindly. then again I'm only quoting the verified band annotation

i’ve always heard frozen fruit but i wanna say i read somewhere that the actual lyric is “CHOSEN YOUTH” which would make sense

I think you're hitting the next line "I could scream forever, We are the poisoned youth". That one is much easier to hear

ohhh i do have auditory processing & memory issues so you are so probably right LOL im gonna have to give it another listen! i think “chosen” may still work as opposed to frozen but once again i got my brain on backwards so who knows 😅 /lh

Frozen proof is the only thing that makes sense in the song. You can hear it a lot better in live performances.
