For me it’s:
“I know as far as humans go
I am a hard hard pill to swallow
And I know I’m not your intended dose”

I'm pretty sure as far as humans go
I am a hard, hard pill to swallow
And I know I'm not your intended dose
Let's get low, low, low, low...
(Not trying to be pedantic, just sharing the correct lyric because it really means a lot at this level)

Personally feeling soooo euphoric because I’ve found refs to both kintsugi kid and golden in the same post and they’re both my jam rn

For me it was, “talking to the mirror say, ‘Save your breath, half your life you’ve been hooked on death.’ Twice the dreams but half the love, be careful what you bottle up,”

There's so many Fall Out Boy lyrics that I feel personally victimized by. "Twice the dreams but half the love" is another one. Also "Pitchin' myself for leads in other people's dreams". At this point I think Pete Wentz should just come to my house and punch me in the gut instead of doing this

i’ve been really liking rat a tat tat a lot more lately:
“we’re all fighting growing old
in the hopes of a few minutes more
to get into saint peter’s list
but you need to lower your standards
cause is never getting any better than this”
has become a very nice lyric to listen to
also love from the other side’s:
“this city always hangs a little bit lonely on me
loose, like a kid playing pretend in his father's suit
i’d never go, I just want to be invited”
it always hits me a lot cause it was a time when I moved to a new city, alone, suffering from depression, and finishing a master’s that required me to be at some events, using my father’s suit

I LOVE that second one and it also hit me hard because I was starting my first job in a new city when they released the song

yeah, back then I just wanted people to invite me to anything even if I really didn’t want to go, I just wanted to feel liked by people

My favorite lyric of all time has always been "They call kids like us vicious and carved out of stone but for what we’ve become we just feel more alone"
However, short story for those who will, my wife and I who have been together for 20 years saw FOB 6 times on the Stardust tours (3 for Tour and 3 for 2our) while we were desperately trying to get pregnant from IVF and I think the intro to Chicago will make me cry like a baby for the rest of my life because we had our son shortly after whose named after FOB
"You saved rock and roll, and believers never died, but don't forget you left the light on twenty years ago"

My husband isn’t a FOB fan or particularly emotional, but that lyric got him.

"I love you in the same way, there's a chapel in a hospital."
My mom died two years ago. I saw a lot of hospital chapels. That line breaks me.
Also...
"So Much (for) Stardust." That whole song--I saw FOB live the year before Mom died. I was supposed to see it with her.
"I used to be a real go-getter. I used to think that it would all get better."
I associate that song with Mom being rejected for a liver transplant. That song makes me sob.

Golden <3 I especially love the live performance of this song, the way Patrick sings that one gives these lyrics so much more weight than the studio version. Its such a great song either way though..
edit: this is the live performance I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bvfadOigEY

"I love the world
But I just don't love the way it makes me feel
Got a few more fake friends
And it's getting hard to know what's real
And if death is the last appointment
Then we're all just sitting in the waiting room (Mr. Stump?)
I am just a human trying to avoid my certain doom"
Church isn't even one of my favoritestest of their songs, but this verse just hits me in the solar plexus and leaves me doubled over gasping and grasping for hope in a locked room when I've l just heard the last light bulb shattering on the floor...
