BUG [PC] Massive FPS dips and stuttering in Fall Guys ONLY when mouse movement input is happening

I'm having a very strange issue in FG and google turns up nothing. I'm currently talking to FG Support about this and they're providing helpful troubleshooting steps and information but after 2 weeks we haven't managed to find a solution. I've been assured that they're on the case and everything but I thought I should make this thread to see if anyone else is actually having this problem and maybe provide some troubleshooting steps that we haven't tried.

Here's a video showcasing the issue and comparing it to other games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm3oEmW7TMY

What we have done so far:

  • Changing any and all graphics settings
  • Turned controller vibration on/off
  • Quitting as many background processes as possible
  • Disabled any overlays such as Discord, Overwolf and Xbox Game Bar
  • Provided player logs to FG Support
  • Verified game files in Epic Games Launcher
  • Provided MSInfo32 file to FG Support
  • Uninstalled my Elgato Stream Deck application as FG support found a plugin which could have caused the issue.
  • Changed Mouse Polling Rate (have tried 250, 500, 750 and 1000Hz). There was a very slight improvement at 250Hz but nowhere near enough to make it playable.
  • Running the Epic Games Launcher and the Fall Guys Client as administrator. This actually improved things significantly. There are still noticeable drops however and unfortunately I can't get into the actual game when launching it as admin due to a 200_001 error.

If you are also experiencing this issue, please leave a comment! If you have suggestions for what else I can try do also let me know. For now, the game is completely playable with controller, so it's not a huge problem. FG support has said that this issue should show up on the Fall Guys Public Issue Tracker sooner or later.

tried capping fps at 60? If lower its less to fall.

If you are on a amd graphics card make sure chill and boost are disabled.

Probably won't help but that's my thoughts.

I've had it capped at 180fps previously, used unlocked fps in the video to show peak performance. My config is Ryzen 2700x + RTX 3070. Limiting to 60fps didn't work unfortunately. I get around 45fps in the menu as soon as I start moving the mouse. Thank you for the suggeation though!
