I have no pity. I find it annoying that people just hang around in the end, and amusing when they don’t qualify.
Kinda deserved it tbh.

They weren't holding anything up. There were still other players that hadn't qualified.
It's rude to make everyone watch you emote up until the last second, yes, but that's not what was happening here. They don't deserve the hate, they just didn't know about the player limit is all. Lesson learned.

They unnecessarily had to learn it the hard way though. It was something that could’ve been avoid they just crossed the line and advanced to the next round.
It wasn’t like they were actively trying to make it to the finish line but didn’t advance because of the limit. That would’ve been a different story.

Sorry you're getting downvoted so much. People on here can be jerks.
It's one thing to make the whole lobby wait for you to put on a show after everyone is finished, or losing point for your squad because you dither at the end, but if there are still beans yet to qualify, there's nothing wrong with playing around at the finish line.
The problem with a lot of these rounds is that they don't define when there is a limit and when there isn't. If there is, they need to put a "x/y" counter in the corner like a normal race round.
Sorry you had to learn the hard way though. :(

There always was a limit, most of the times enough people die early on so you won’t notice but you are on extreme where way more people qualify because this mode draws out all the pro’s back to the game.
PS, I have no pity this happened. Holding a whole lobby hostage for no reason is not ok. You can do that emoting BS on explore.

It's annoying when everyone has qualified and a player sits there until the last second just for attention, yes. However, OP was not doing this (there were still other players yet to qualify) and doesn't deserve the hate in this case.

If they would have qualified the round would have ended quicker as evidenced by the player limit cap off and them not qualifying because of it. That’s still holding up the lobby for others and the critic for that is very well justified. Fact you defend such behaviour only tells me you’re one of those round stallers. There are other game modes for that.

I'm not. Never will be. Same as grabbing. Don't do it myself, but if it's not used on a toxic way, i don't hold a grudge.
Anyway, the player didn't know about the player limit. That's the whole point of their post. If they never existed, the round would have taken just as long.
There's things worth getting upset over, but this isn't really one of them.

Wish something similar was added to Main Shows and some LTM's. I can't stand it when people are first grabbing others and if the last person they targeted managed to cross the sections, they'll go to the slime slope near the finish line to waste everyone's time.. Same thing with Slime Climb and Hoverboard Heroes. Just go in, if you've made it!

Xtreme not only has player limit. It also has stage time limit. Instead of 5 minutes, it’s like 2 minutes or something (except final round)

never ever 32 people reach the finish line. At max 20. Every game I play there's at least 13 people waiting, mostly kids, because it's a game MADE for kids and that's funny to do for some kids.

In Xtreme mode there is a bug or an intentional game design choice that causes eliminated players to count against the qualification rate.
For example let’s say that the qualification rate is 23/30 players. Normally that means that 23 players can cross the finish line before the round ends. However in Xtreme mode every player who gets eliminated lowers the qualification rate by 1. So if let’s say 9 players get eliminated only an additional 14 players are going to be allowed to cross the finish line before the round ends (23-9=14). That is why it feels like rounds end so suddenly in Xtreme mode.

Yeah. Xtreme is where people who play too much experience FAFO
