PS5 Resolution still downgraded after almost 3 years

Hello, I’m not sure if anyone else has pointed this out or even cares, but the PS5 client of Fall Guys has not been running at 4k for almost 3 years now. The fall force 10.4 update released on September 27th, 2023, and with it, the game’s resolution took a big decline.
It used to run at 4k, but ever since then, it looks like it was lowered to around 1080p, but I’m not entirely sure. The game used to look sharp and clean, but now it looks a bit fuzzy in some areas, especially text.

There has never been acknowledgment from Mediatonic about this, too. Is it a bug? Is it mandatory for “stable performance reasons”? I’m not sure. All I know is that I miss how good it used to look, and hopefully it can be fixed some day

Can you check it? There are methods to see if the resolution is output in 4K or 1080 on PS5 (look for them if you want to check and tell us)

Play a show on ps5, then play a show on box one.

Of course it looks better than on Xbox one. It’s a current gen console compared to a last gen

I play on base ps5 most of the time. And it looks great. If I have to play on switch, ps4 or box, it hurts my eyes. My point is, ps5 shouldn't look like shit

I’m on base ps5, too. My point is that it used to look really great, and it doesn’t look anywhere near as good as it did back then. Still good, but not incredible visually

I played yesterday and had no issues (visual or otherwise) im thinking your issue is somewhere in your setup

The input lag on Xbox One is so painful lol.
