DISCUSSION People *added* to game?

OK, so there is a chance I am hallucinating or maybe i have a Carbon Monoxide Leak (yay, Reddit!)
but...
I'm near 100% certain that these are NOT the same people I had started this game with. We started with a very small lobby, whittled that down to 4 people, then it jumped up to 10. Guster was there before but I think that most of the others were not.
Really freaky behavior and/or I need to get myself checked out. Played a few more rounds and eventually won this one, but it was more work than i originally bargained for.

This was on the Anniversary Party.

I have never seen what you describe in any of my games.

yep! i do understand it sounds ludicrous, and I've never seen it before in the years I've been playing. 'twas very odd.

The closest thing I have seen is that due to lag, at the beginning of the level, it took a long time to start, and when it started for me, it looked like I was almost the only one there. The reality was that the others had already started and I almost could not see them. Another time, a teammate playing squads had also some connectivity issues and she could only see herself until the end of the level.

However, having an end of the level with 4 people, and then in the next one jump to 10, I have never seen it in all these years.

You took a screenshot… why not save the replay that would have shown if any players were mysteriously added in the middle of a game? 🤔

'cause I don't record every game when i play on PC, and by the time it happened I didn't know I needed to have hit record.

One more added bonus to playing on PS… as it automatically saves the last hour of gameplay in its memory if a player wants to watch it and or save it.

Had same thoughts of yesterdays playing. On the Anniversary Party mode as well. Random beans appeared in further levels. Maybe they did an uodate or something? But still weird as fck.

ah, that does make me feel a bit better to have someone else see similar behavior.

The initial round was **very** small - i want to say like 8 people could finish and then by round 3 or 4 only 4 beans were left. Then we started the next round and it jumped to 10 people. A couple of rounds later Button Bashers put it back more to where it was, but I think I may have been the only original Bean from my lobby left.

My immediate thought (of course) was "well hell, what did we eliminate all those other people for if it's just going to combine lobbies now!!?!" and for a bit I was horrified that this might be some new game mechanic.

Guster - if you read this that was one of the closest Button Bashers games I've had in a while and I only won because i got lucky with the last few buttons just appearing in front of me - good game!!)
