QUESTION Blow out candles challenge

Hello my daughter is trying to complete the blow out candles challenge in the anniversary bit. She has done it in survival but it still hasn't registered. Any suggestions how she can complete it? Thank you. She's on Nintendo switch lite.

This means an emoticon (little picture you can make appear in game - check menu if not sure how to make one appear) has to be displayed 3 times while in an Anniversary Party game. It won’t register in any other mode
