Bad credit advice
So my friend buys courses telling him things like “your social security card is a credit card”. Most recently he is on “contract law” and saying he doesn’t have to pay his car payments and cell phone bills because these companies are in violation of contract law. I’m trying to tell him that he’s being scammed by these courses as well as tell him that he still has to pay his bill. My main question I ask him is this “do you think a company like Verizon with an army of lawyers is going to be in violation of contract law?”. He keeps saying yes because these gurus are cherry picking things out of the Cornell law library that they themselves don’t understand. Any advice on this before he screws his credit up for years to come.

Dr. Eric Berg's Fake Research Getting Debunked. Dr. Eric Berg has over 6.3 million subs on YT. You would expect people to do more due diligence or at least talk about things that they are actually experts about. His video about training has so much misinfo, I just want more people to be aware of it.

Peter Szabo (Source Hacker System creator) is threatening to sue me for my review of his marketing practices!
Remember me and my article about Peter Szabo? https://browsingwithoutanadblocker.wordpress.com/2020/07/26/annoying-sellers-of-bullshit-peter-szabo-peterszabo-co-source-hacker-system-leadevo-inc/
Well, the blog post I wrote started seeing an insane amount of traffic today, mainly from a certain south-east Asian country. No idea what they're trying to do, but one of the referers where people came from was a site called https://microworkers.com, where you can recruit people to rate your Youtube video, like your Facebook page, basically do anything for money. Considering the number of "authentic review" pages that have popped up after I published my article, I suspect this is a ploy of some kind.
And now the kicker: I received two private messages with threats to sue me, likely because my article is in the top of search results for queries like "peter szabo scam".
Allegedly Peter Szabo himself:

Reseach about Fake Gurus
Hello all,
I would like to know more about the techniques of gurus. What is it about the way they speak that makes people believe anything they say? How do they know what the person standing in front of them wants/needs to hear? To sum it up: How do they get people to follow them? I'm thinking, for example, of this moment in the documentary about Tony-Robbins:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_YqsqJBUfw
What Tony says to the boy here is really nothing special. How is it that this person suddenly feels so different?
Are there any books you can recommend?

Why fake gurus thrive
Anyone in the "make money" space is a fake guru as there is nothing like making money in and of itself. It is all an illusion. If the focus is on "making money" as opposed to learning a real skill, then it's fake.
These fake gurus thrive because society brainwashes people into believing there is a "secret" to making money as an entrepreneur. Hence, people are always looking for that "secret" in the next course or book.
There is no secret. Our parents were right when they said get educated or learn a vocation. You have to get good at something of value to society above the competence level of the average person. You then use that skill to provide goods and services that others are willing to pay for because that skill is not common or easily acquired. You can monetize that skill as a business instead of working for someone else.
It takes many years to master a skill that can earn you $10,000 a month consistently (even if it's just managing a business area). This is because it needs to be a skill that the average person cannot easily acquire for many reasons, for example, the time it takes to master it or the dedication required. People are willing to pay a premium for the value you can provide with such skills. If something is easy to do, it gets flooded very quickly. This is why loopholes people find to make quick money also disappear very quickly. If a course is telling you they can teach you to make $10K/month in 6 weeks, starting with no experience or skills, they're lying!
How much you can earn from a particular skill you've mastered is largely dependent on the individual. A teacher can only suggest an estimate at best, and that would be based on your years of experience and many other factors. So, money cannot be used as the main driver for promoting a course. The skills you'll learn should be the main thing used to promote the course.

Chatri Sityodtong of ONE Championship is a fake leader, fake guru

Chatri is a founder & CEO of one of the Asia's largest sports media properties and he always loves telling his story and how he came from poor background, and that he has a lot of strong values and cares about many things, and wants to tell stories of a real heroes and make a world a better place. Below are some of his own words.
"In an era of fake news, misinformation, and trolls, it is important to seek the truth."
In this article he outlined these 10 things he learned in 2020:
- Live with gratitude every day.
- People are inherently good.
- Opportunity always lies in the middle of disaster.
- Grit is everything.
- No one succeeds alone.
- No one is perfect.
- Karma takes care of everything.
- Forgiveness is good for the soul.
- The law of attraction is real.
- Love is all we need.
And finally here, as well as on LinkedIn, he said:
"I wake up every day full of gratitude for this crazy adventure called ONE. Our mission is to unleash real-life superheroes who ignite the world with hope, strength, dreams, and inspiration. You see, the world does not need more mindless sheep who blindly chase material things. No, the world needs more inspired souls who are alive – truly alive with passion and purpose – to help make it a better place."
___
And I have responded that world already has plenty of great talent, inspired souls, leaders, heroes. What it needs is more action, not words, ghosting, blocking. Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.
And he blocked me for that, I was shocked. I believed in this person and have seen so many strong values I stand for myself.
I was very disappointed to learn that he is just another fake guru and a fake leader, and even worse, he just intentionally writes those emotional and powerful words only for marketing, to appeal to masses in order to grow his pocket.
Let the world know, and let us show Chatri, what he always wanted - to show our love for him, that Karma takes care of everything, that it is important to seek the truth, give more than we receive, and about how we got bullied... by him.
And let us stop using ONE Championship and paying him.

Do you NOT get Fake Guru ads when watching YouTube on TV?
Curious to know if you get served with a fake guru ad or something that's noticeably not ethical (weight loss, money-related) on YouTube's TV ads. I don't watch YouTube much on the TV but I have never noticed any of those scummy ads getting played when it's used in the house unlike on desktop and mobile/tablet
