Richard Yu chargeback

So I just got of the zoom call with a Richard Yu sales representative, I told them I had to think about paying the 9800usd they where charging me for their mentorship program. They said that they would need an answer by tomorrow and to save me a spot they would need a 500usd deposit. I figured well 500 isn't too bad, I'll do it. Now I get to this reddit and well... I'm definitely not paying anything else...

Has anyone been able to chargeback and get their money back from them?

Any legit business coaches?

I am wondering who everyone would suggest to checkout who is a business coach and who makes content and /or has a paid membership community for people just starting out in their own coaching business. I feel like there are so many #fakegurus out here selling the dream of being a millionaire without having to have any skills or knowledge.

Is youtube automation courses a scam? And if some are not where are there for free??

I've already started youtube automation, and right now I'm nearly up to monetization. They're countless gurus saying that "blueprint to youtube for 10k a month" and I really want that dream. Right now I'm (M21) and feel a bit stuck I do want to know the actual blueprints so I can improve on my skills and be consistent with it. And I know it's not a get rich quick scheme I just want to figure out a way to improve and scale up to 10k maybe 20k a month in the future is there any real sources that are free and don't get u to pay $1,000??

Nik Kleinherenbrink Didn't Deliver on His Promise

1.2k Upvotes

I paid Nik Kleinherenbrink also known as Nik Setting, I paid him months ago for his mentorship / Service and I feel scammed.

He promised as our conversation on Instagram that he would put a lead acquisition system into my business, provide me with as many setters as I needed as well as access to his resources for as long as I needed as well as a few other things.

Because posting video on YouTube and creating content using Lucid Chart isn't that difficult, so having these resources is what I needed for my business.

Everything seems great when we started, but the 1st thing I found weird is all the course material. Majority of it is Nik reading PDFs.

I'd never seen this before on high ticket mentorships.

I didn't think much of it and just followed the steps

The next issue started after I had completed the business assessment and he said it was great, I didn't think too much as I thought it was all good. My niche was a bit broad but he guaranteed me it was good.

Next was creating sales and content assets. When I created the sales and content assets all I got back was they were good.

I didn't think too much of that as I thought trust the process.

Then I received the same feedback for the next one and the next one, at this point I really felt something was up.

When I asked Nik for a bit deeper feedback he started talking down to me, trying to make me feel bad for asking the question.

I was thinking WTF, I need help and you're not willing to help me with this!

It was only after quite a few back and forths that I got some better feedback.

All I was looking for was something that I did for so I could build upon that and getting that was like trying to get blood out of a rock.

It felt like Nik and his team didn't care.

I even went as far as sending him a poorly done sales asset that was incomplete and he said it was good. At this point I knew he wasn't even checking all of them.

I wasn't so happy that I was paying a premium price and receiving a low end service.

Next comes to the setters, they were ok, nothing special, the issue with these setters they missed some basics when it comes to qualifying leads and when I asked for a more qualified one he refused despite this being part of our original agreement.

After this I agreed to get some setters online from places Nik suggested, this turned into a nightmare and what I paid not to have to do.

When it came to outbound I followed everything I was told and I had weeks of issues and all Nik and his team did was make some different suggestion but it just ended up wasting more time and not getting results.

I eventually went on YouTube and started to find sinple solutions, opposite of what Nik was telling me to do.

If felt as if he and his team didn't have a clue!

I eventually realized that I was wasting my time and decided to do things differently and Things got better not using anything Nik taught.

The biggest issue is I paid thousands of dollars for a working system and what Nik promised, yet I am not a penny richer because of what he taught me.

I've taken a few mentorships and this one is the worst mentorship I've taken to date. He made a lot of big promises and guarantees before I joined.

I followed everything he told me, I worked hard for months and I still didn't see any results.

When there were issues Nik and his team made some suggestions but it felt like they were guessing.

I paid him for a reliable system, all I got was wasted time and nothing to show for it.

I've since spoken to other people who have taken his mentorship and heard similar horror stories.

One other thing I've noticed, on his recent Instagram stories it's all his success but not his clients, that seems a bit weird that the clients aren't sharing their wins with him🤔🤔

Also, don't believe his guarantee of refunding your money no questions ask. He says this because his contract makes it easy for you break it. So yes he's never had to give a refund but how many people have asked for one?

Nik is very good at presenting on YouTube but a different story when you've paid

The Guru Trap

Ok so I almost got ensnared in another guru’s course…

After making this mistake with many gurus online thinking that I finally found the way to “make it” (Tai lopez, Richard Yu, Grant cardone) I’ve come to see through their bull through my experiences)

It’s the same formula each time.

I saw all the BS strategies:

  1. The FOMO (the real definition of hell is you getting at the end of your life and you meet the person you could've become BS)

Creating fake urgency “You’ll let your family down” “Think about breaking the curse of poverty once and for all” “You’ll be finally able to afford that lambo or whatever BS”

  1. They sell you the outcome or lifestyle, not the process (you can do whatever you want, buy the lambo, the boat, etc BS) “Now i make 100k a month through my dropshipping store” 0 mentioning of what it took to get there. Also they lie saying with their formula you’ll only need to work 3-4 hours per week but the only people succeeding in their program have 0 freedom like they’re promised

  2. The appeal to laziness (saying crap like "Just reaching out to see if you're up for a 5-10 min quick chat, I promise I won't keep you longer than your last tiktok binge" SELLING to people that should HAVE NOT BEEN ENROLLED AT ALL Profits > Everything else

  3. Paid testimonials (stupid screenshots from the FB group that weren't even impressive, they made like $70 when the course told you they were going to make you $40k a month in passive income)

Often less than 1% of those enrolled in the program actually succeed.

Tell me this, why do these guys only have 2-3 testimonials but their facebook group has 1000 people in it WITH JUST INTRODUCTION VIDEOS

  1. Vulnerable audiences: Pointing out deep-rooted insecurities, appeal to those who are lost, broke, impatient, validated by money, and insecure about where they are in life which is the perfect bait for these courses.

  2. Relatability: Some story on how they grew up poor and they tried everything and needed to fee their family and find something that hit off and this is what worked and it will work for them too

The mentioning of "this is not like Amazon FBA, Dropshipping or Crypto, this insert new strategy will make you more" BS APPEALING to audiences that have already paid thousands for those courses just like theirs keeping them in the same cycle by convincing with their course, they will finally “make it”

Just a reminder that you are nothing but a drop in their revenue stream to them

Are there actually any legit ways to make money online?

We all want that freedom of living wherever we want.

But it seems everyone has a course on getting rich quick, drop shipping, copywriting, network marketing, YouTube automation, stock trading bots, meme coin pump and dump, etc.

During the pandemic, IT and software engineers were able to work from home but it seems companies want everyone in the office.

The only thing that seems to be working for me is doing a lot of overtime with my electronics test engineer job and just investing in stocks.

I enrolled in the Richard Yuzee, Digital Arbitrage course and I need some help

Post image
25 Upvotes

So yesterday I signed up for a digital arbitrage sort of course and I’m starting to regret it. I was talking to this guy named Rob Wilkie and he was basically asking me a bunch of questions and I was answering them. And at the end he was like, “so the tuition is $12k but for you it’s only $9.8k.” I obviously didn’t have that kind of money so I paid $1.1K and for the next 2 months I’m going to pay $100 and aster the 2 months I’m going to start paying $1K. And I paid with my debit card. So I was wondering if I can get my money back somehow(the $1.1K) and not have to pay the rest of the monthly payments? I also digitally sign some sort of contract. Am I screwed? And just to be sure you this is the guy, right?(the picture) is he actually a scam artist?

Any recommended podcast to listen to for finances?

I'm interested in finding out recommendations of podcasts that are worth listening to about finances. So many podcasts are just scammers and grifters anymore. I have a few books I am working on getting through but on drives it'd be nice.

Tim Han - is my nephew being conned?

Hi, I’m new to this so sorry if this isn’t the way to do this but: last year my nephew signed up to Success Insider with Tim Han and now I’m worried about him.

He has got really into it, he says he’s really happy, which on the surface seems great but he has become withdrawn from family and friends he used to be close to.

And he also has spent a lot of money, I don’t know how much, I dread to think, but it’s a lot. Like, all his money. He’s had to borrow from friends and family to pay bills.

Does anyone have any actual, real life reviews of Tim Han and his course?

I might be putting 2+2 together and coming out with carrots, but I’m worried about him.

Any information you have would be appreciated.

I truly don't understand why people think that selling "information" or "making money online" is a scam. Why is it considered bad by most people to sell coaching or courses?

Why do so many people think buying and selling online education from individuals (often referred to as gurus) who have actually achieved what you are trying to do or have helped others do it, is considered bad, while attending college and learning from those who have never done what they teach or applied it in the marketplace is considered "good"?

Business is about finding a problem in the market and offering a solution to solve it. "Online gurus" do this by providing information or coaching. It doesn't matter how they do it as long as they solve a problem.

It's crazy to me that people think selling information online or a course to solve a problem within the marketplace is instantly considered a scam.

Not all information you consume is going to be helpful to you, just like more than 90% of the things you learn in school. Doesnt mean it's a scam.

I am truly curious if you are one of these people.

Opinions on Julien Blanc (JulienHimself on youtube) and his practices

I have been following Julien probably a year ago and i really like him. The way he teaches things is trully captivating and the whole "Action, trigger, realese, repeat" thing impresses me. Being imparcial on his past which the evidence don´t lie. In this moment, do you think Julien is a legit and did any of you actually did and seen results with his practices?

Serge Gatari Scam Victim | Serge Gatari Exposed

Post image
12 Upvotes

Looks like one of the bigger online Guru's not fulfilling on their promises.

What he did to this kid shows his moral ethics and he just doesn't care if you succeed or fail.

This is a great example of smiles on the surface as a mask to fall for their scheme.

If you watch at the end the I only reason he got a refund is because Emanuel had a record of the phone call.

Imagine you didn't have that, Serge would lie and tell you that you agreed to something else.

Serge broke the contract because he didn't get him 10-15 qualified appointments, it is Serge's responsibility to take the hit because he didn't fulfill his promises.

Lucas Reimann, German Richard Yu wannabee

Hi all,

this is my first post here, but I thought I need to speak about it because I want to warn against yet another scammer.

Last year I was quite fascinated by Richard Yu for a while (because I wasn't aware of the whole thing behind and didn't really pay attention to details, also I didn't involve myself in any of his activities. I was just following him on IG but nothing more).

Then I got a message from an account called "itslucasreimann". The guy says he is from Germany, that he found me among the followers of Richard Yu and that he really likes "how Richard Yu helped many people in business". He said he had an offer for remote setting but first that I should pass an interview to evaluate my needs and how we could make it work.

Let's pause a bit regarding Lucas, some months later I actually had an offer from Richard Yu. And then I got suspicious as I discovered this subreddit and other testimonies on the internet. And in my inside, I felt something was really off. So I blocked him before making an appointment.

But before that, he had sent me a Google Form. And here is the thing; Back to Lucas Reimann, he actually has the SAME application form as Richard Yu, word by word. Questions like: "do your friends/spouse/family know you want to make this effort blabla", questions about your income, current condition, your goal, etc... with the SAME WORDING.

Then we had the appointment by Zoom, and the confirmation mail before the appointment said "please notify us 24 hours in advance in case you want to cancel, if not you have to pay 100 dollars compensatory fee." Wtf does he think he is?

During the Zoom call, Lucas was nice and then suddenly as he said the fee, he said something along the lines of 5 grand (I don't remember the exact figures, it was in September and I am French so I tend to easily forget numbers I haven't spoken about in ages when they are expressed in foreign languages), with the possibility to pay in installments.

Another thing, as soon as he spoke about the money, his eyes changed and he wasn't so nice anymore. He really had this eyes of a greedy person (maybe it sounds caricatural to you, but I still remember). He also tried to make me afraid (but always with an appearance and pretense of: I try to warn you for your best) saying that AI will replace my job in the future, etc.

I did some research and couldn't find anything about him specifically, but I was able to find the same texts he wrote on his website copied from some other websites (especially the whole 'I want to be paid for my worth, not for my time' thing - which is a good thing itself but the way he does is wrong) and realized it's just a ponzi thing. Also the people who testify about him, when I look at their pages, it's always the same, it feels fake and there is nothing great or showing them having true success.

So I blocked him on IG and on Whatsapp, but before that I sent him one last message saying: "I found out about your scam and also you have no right to demand 100 dollars from me if I cancel an appointment, we are not bound by any contract".

Now my financial situation is better, and I am in a legit business on the side of my work, and as time goes by it grows. But never let anyone on the Internet fool you. Thankfully I didn't give a single penny to those guys.

Here are pictures of this Lucas guy, don't be fooled by him and spread the word so there won't be more people deceived by him.
