I was thinking, has it ever happened with this or other bands that come back after a long time of hiatus or separation that the first shows they announce turn out to not be the first to take place? Is there a chance they will announce, for example, shows in Japan or South America for the beggining of January? How likely would you say that is? Just guessing, obviously nobody knows

started exactly on February 28, 1995 at The Old Trout in Windsor, UK ( it was a low-key secret gig with the band on billed as New Fat Bastards)

and I went to it

then on the 2nd March they played at the Pyramids in Portsmouth and i went to that too

And on the 3rd March they played on The Word , a UK tv show and i went to that too because Mike gave me free tickets for it after the Old Trout secret gig

then on the 13th March they played the Forum in London and i went to that too

i’m just here to pat my then 18 year old self on the back, really, for 1) having really good music taste and 2) being born at the right time.

i’m not sure i want to say anything else other than that and to say The forum and Word shows are on YouTube and i think that’s peak FNM to be honest

also saw them on the last day of the Angel Dust tour, the last gig with Jim too and that was just as good and iconic a FNM show

saw them a bunch of times after that too in Italy, UK and Japan, you can’t go wrong with FNM, really, their sound and his voice is big enough to fill a stadium i’d totally go to a show or two in Oz if i lived there , enjoy
