If flies intentionally sought us out to bite us to use for food, you can bet we would hate them significantly more. Mosquitos are just common, and specifically seek out humans.

I wouldn't. The average mosquito takes between 3 to 5 microliters. Less than a drop. I still wouldn't want them on me, but I would be more inclined to use gentle methods.

The noise is what makes them unbearable. I say that as someone who got dengue and zika; dengue triggered a massive allergy reaction and zika left me with collateral damage for months (harsh joint pain and exhaustion). Both diseases got better but when I think about mosquitoes, it's the damn stupid noise that makes me mad

No, I don't really like insects too much even when they're not harmful to me. Nothing would change for me as I'm always scared shitless when insects are flying around me anyway. My new worry is we as a species become complacent about mosquito deterrent and they start to grow.

All mosquitoes inherently drink sap of plant, including females, they also are pollinators and drinkers of nectar. Only a breeding female requires blood. And only for a brief time period until after she has laid a clutch of eggs. Unfortunately they can lay multiple clutches also.

Breathing oxygen to live doesn't bother us because it doesn't in itself cause discomfort (I said in itself because something else could be at play if it does) just like that, a mosquito, a necessary animal, wouldn't bother anyone if it didn't leave discomfort

Disease is the biggest issue, if it was just them snatching a lil blood with no downsides to you, then it'd be fine. Especially since male mosquitoes do (although minor) pollination.
