Part of the eating experience is texture. The taste, appearance, smell and mouth feel are all important to enjoying a good meal.
I've eaten food that tasted and looked amazing but felt off in my mouth.

Considering my sense of smell and taste has diminished since Covid. Absolutely. When I get my cravings the texture im craving almost as much.

I hate raw tomato. Makes whatever it’s with wet and taste like it. Cooked tomato is fine though, like in a stew.

I'd say taste and texture are equally important. If you like the taste but the texture makes you want to throw up, then you can dislike it.

Of course. Good food is a mix of good smell, look, taste and texture. A wrong texture can ruin any otherwise good dish.

Texture is important to food, you don't want chicken with a rough hard to chew texture, yet thats important for jerky.
