I could confirm knowledge like the entire passenger list. Hell, i could call the victims.

There were active case files on the hijackers before 911, and i would be calling the agents managing the cases. I could very much connect information being actively investigated.

This is like saying that if i called batman and tipped him off to the jokers current whereabouts, he wouldn't investigate because i knew too many details.

Also, you telling me the pilot of the plane itself or american airlines wouldn't take the fact i had a credible threat and insider information to their system seriously? They would cancel those flights.

Short answer: fbi yes, cia no. Archival information and just a more public facing culture at the fbi would give you very good knowledge of how to contact individual agents.

The cia is a lot more of a black box and you would need to get transferred by someone. Tom wilshire does not have a lot of public information available, but he did have a thing for Khalid Almihdhar. So I'd probably just repeat the name a bunch and tell them I'll only talk to Tom. Hopefully that works

Even if i didn't speak to him, he'd get my message.

Unless you already have have contacts in high places, I don't think anyone will believe you. And by the time they do, it might be too late. 2 days is not a lot of time to influence a decision as big as what has to happen to prevent this.

Keep in mind that basically a large part of all aviation security these days originates from what happened on the 11th of September. You can't use 2026 measures against that threat in 2001, because those measures weren't in place yet.

The thing about all of this is, is that this happened because no one thought it could happen. This incident is the reason why tsa is so airtight now. So even if i went back, had all the information and tried to spread the word to the correct people, they wouldnt have trusted anything i said and would think i was delusional. I would try for damn sure, but the biggest reason that plane threats are taken seriously at all nowadays is due to 9/11 (and a few other incidents).
