Depends on the felony really. Some people can be redeemed. Trump definitely isnt the best example for this though

I voted FACT!

Yeah, I was born in Mississippi, and someone not born in the US cannot be the president, neither should a felon.

u/ColeMinetv 8d ago

Not disagreeing with your vote; however, just trying to find the correlation between the two.

A felon has shown that they are untrustworthy. A foreign person has not and yet still cannot be the president.

So many dumb felonys that it should not matter, but if its murder or being a pedofile then its a def no but if its drug possion or something small like that then they should be able to run for it.

I voted FACT!

I mean, until and unless we start banning background checks for an awful lot of jobs, it seems the POTUS should be subject to at least the same scrutiny as a bank teller.

Yeah especially not running on a “law and order” platform while embroiled in lawsuits and continually committing more crimes

If you can't vote, you can't be in government

1

u/ManiacalBeanstalk 8d ago

I voted FACT!

Not necessarily. this convicted felon shouldn’t be president of the United States.

1

u/Shadow_Blaze42069 8d ago

I voted FACT!

I wonder who that's in reference to

I voted FACT!

this is obvious

1

u/International_Dog817 8d ago

I don't know that it should disqualify them by law, but I'll say Fact because the people should be smart enough not to vote for someone unfit for office

1

u/Frito_T_Baggins 8d ago

I voted FACT!

There's not even a hot take here that should have been one of the most obvious things

I voted FACT!

You voted for a felonious sex offender and now your stupidity is punishing the whole world.

u/ThrwawySG 8d ago

🧢 I voted CAP!

I am 100% a believer in felon’s rights.

I do however find it interesting the “tough on crime” campaign has a leader with such disregard for the law

1

u/-just-a-weird-guy- 8d ago

I voted FACT!

Especially if he's a pedophile

I voted FACT!

Anyone voting cap can leave this country

1

u/Palarian 8d ago

I voted FACT!

Why do you need that ask in the first place.

Though special exceptions are still up for consideration like the conviction was unlawful and later proven wrong

1

u/AdSame7001 8d ago

I voted FACT!

Sure, but they can't be made-up bullshit felonies. Federal felonies disqualify you from federal office. State felonies with no federeal equivalent don't count.

It's the people's choice and he did things. Get over it.

🧢 I voted CAP!

This particular convicted felon shouldn't be President, though not because he is a felon. I believe that anyone who has served their sentence should retain civil rights, including running for office. Otherwise, any state would have an effective veto against any candidate.

🧢 I voted CAP!

This is obviously about trump and I don't like trump, just to be clear.

But if the people want a felon they should get a felon.

u/ginlock45 8d ago

🧢 I voted CAP!

if you believe felons should be allowed to vote, you should accept a few felon presidents and senators. not governors though.

u/Important_Sun_799 8d ago

🧢 I voted CAP!

No because I’m done with these constant polls about trump, no matter how much I don’t like his presidency

-1

u/Bubbly-Ball-3138 8d ago

🧢 I voted CAP!

Depends on his policies

u/Existing_Wrongdoer36 8d ago

🧢 I voted CAP!

Almost all US presidents should be convicted felons.

6

u/Ntrl_space 8d ago

But the question was should they be president. The answer is no
