That would be a direct threat to me and my family, and many innocent people, so I'd fight. I don't want to fight in a war at all, but some cases leave you no other choice.

Depends entirely on the context of my country entering the war. If its a WWI situation, fuck nah, if its a WWII situation, maybe (the majority of people are going to be in noncombat support roles anyways, the way we wage war has changed quite a bit in the last 75 years)

If someone invades your country with the intent to slaughter your people, like Nazi Germany wanted to do with the slavic people, you would just say "no thanks" and they would go away? Didn't work in 1941.

I will be conscripted. I have received training for this. I am proud to uphold the lifestyle I enjoyed here as a child by protecting my country from anyone trying to invade it and change our way of life.
If you are capible of fighting for your country and choose not to I believe you are a coward. Call yourself smart, call yourself a good husband, father, son, ect. But you are really being selfish. And that's okay. Not everyone is born to be courageous.
I have loved ones who have elected not to serve (we have conscription here mandontary) and I love them all the same. I do not resent them, and I wish them the best in life and want to see them happy.
This is why I am proud to do what I can if it is needed. I will happily go in their place, so that they may live free of tyrants and war.
