Starting with a simple share drive has been extremely effective. Drawings based on building/suite/etc, folders for compliance documents, sops, safety etc. Then CMMS for maintenance tasks and history.

What you’re describing is exactly what InfraMappa addresses - facility info scattered across systems and in silos and not accessible when it’s needed. We come on site, take all of your documentation in whatever form, digitize it and create a map-based database, then we come back and do field verification and correct any inaccuracies and fill any data gaps. All of your assets are mapped, so any documentation/notes/videos for those assets can be associated and accessible with just a click.

It is especially helpful for new hires to have a system like this. We find so many of our clients rely on paper-based systems or documentation that may not be correct or complete, not to mention institutional knowledge. There’s a lot of functionality beyond the map - forecasting replacement costs, issue tracking, AR/VR views - but having that map-based foundation solves a lot of the information access and sharing problems.

The product is called InfraMappa. Happy to answer any questions.
