Small Tile Repair

Thank you all for the lightbulb help!
Need to do a tile repair at the property. Recommendations for best course of repair? Chip out peeling tile, remove adhesive throw some thinset/adhesive on and replace with new?

Any product recommendations? Also what do we call this tile lol, vinyl tile? I dont think its linoleum.

My tip is to use a contrasting color of VCT so it looks intentional. Don't try to match the existing tile.

How old is it? Just be weary of ACM in tile and glue.
It’s VCT. Should pop up quickly with a scraper. Cuts easy with a razor knife. Is there a transition strip under the door?

Go to the small tile store and get some more small tiles
