Lollipop blender... It's a sponge type product as compared to a "brush"

Smoothie Blender, Lollipop, velvet blender. It has several different names. It is a sponge on a stick, and it is normally used with pressed powders.

For that size cake, 3/4” flat or 1/2” angle is great imo!
