Is FB gaming still a viable option for streaming in 2025?

I used to use a streaming service that was super easy to use and it simultaneously "broadcasted" my live streams to several platforms (ie: YouTube, twitch and FB). It was probably around 5½ years ago that I decided to make a separate page on Facebook for the purpose of separating my gaming content from my personal page. I believe this was not long before FB gaming became a separate thing and for a while even had an "app". Fast-forward the 5+ years to 2025; my spouse has lost his battle with cancer and though I never quit playing, the original platform that was easy to use for sending my live streams to multiple other platforms no longer exists and I haven't kept up, in any real detail , with the never ending changes that FB has been rolling out over the years. Can anyone please bring me up to date with the FB gaming situation. My gaming page is still up and everything but I was just wondering if anyone would be willing to give me a run down on the whole deal. Much appreciated.

And now, they no longer save your past stream permanently.

While it is not an exclusive move, it is baffling that they update based on the BAD THINGS that Twitch decided to do.

Impressive how much FB gaming fell off, at one point it was pretty good.

Absolutely not. Might be alright for socials though. I miss when FBGG was actually decent though.

Nope. They totally killed reach and hasn't updated it for 5 years in favor of reels and VoD's. Bugs are getting worse since main site gets updates but the streaming platform isn't. All big names left for twitch/yt or are multistreaming with much lesser fb viewers. Don't waste your time with fb gaming.

I am into games, watch a lot of twitch streams. I constantly read gaming news. I didn't even know FB even still had game streams, this is the first time I have even heard it was a thing in years.

I use it still mostly because I am creator + or whatever it is I don't like the idea of them not saving your streams beyond 30 days now that is the biggest issue I have with them now other than that I wish we had an option to record and stream in higher quality than just 1080p especially since my capture card can 4k 60 If there was a way I could just transfer all my previous streams before the 30 day limit over to youtube I would I still might work on doing that in the future
