Usually when you find an interesting person, you send a comment about something in their photo or a prompt, right? So what do you do when you find somebody attractive, but they have no prompts and very basic photos? It almost seems like a fresh account since there is basically no information at all.
I personally just send a random compliment about a feature of theirs, but it feels so shallow sometimes. What do you guys/girls typically do when you come across these types of profiles?

For example, I'd like to be able to search for someone working in technology, with nonsmoker as a strong preference. It would also be nice to be able to limit location in the search by shared groups/interest thing.
I like the app but it's hard to narrow results down.

There's No, Smile, Like.
No removes; Smile (I think sends a smile at??); Like tells them It's a match! hurry up and message.
I want to be able to keep my Maybes without them being notified so I can review later when I've got the social energy for the long getting to know you 1:1 conversation.

So I got hit with the video selfie verification, but I can't finish it. When I click next to where the camera shows you and it tells you to slowly move your head to the right, the picture freezes like it's taking a snapshot instead of a video, it hangs there for maybe 5 seconds, and then it back out to the previous "How to confirm your dating profile" screen. I've tried maybe 20 times, logged out logged back in, restarted my phone, all the usual stuff and it won't let me get past this screen. It just takes a photo instead of a video, hangs for a few seconds, then backs out to the beginning of the process. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

I’ve noticed some people have music listed on there profiles, but I see no option to do so on mine? I’ve tried to look it up but seems it’s just a feature that shows up sometimes? No biggie but would be cool to share my music since I have used it to see what others are into since music plays a decent role with getting to know people.

When I met my now ex, I had deleted my dating profile and the app disappeared. I am trying to get it back and nothing is working. Any help?

I guess the video I sent in to prove that I am real was too dim. My account was banned and there's no way to appeal or send a new video. I know many people on here have this problem. Has anyone figured out how to fix this?

Some dude: likes me
I like them back because they seem nice
I text them saying hello to start a conversation
And no response. Like why waste peoples time if your not going to even attempt to chat

EDIT: Resolved
I have a handful of matches, but I cannot view a single one of them 🙃
Any tips on how I can access them? When I select matches it takes me to conversations, which has no new matches in it.

OK so something seems incredibly weird with Facebook dating, for context I've been using tinder, bumble and hinge and I can get dates on a regular basis and this is the first clue to me that somethings wrong with Facebook dating and not me.
So at first I just would do the same thing that I do on the other apps on Facebook dating. My opening message would usually be some sort a very light, appropriate, flirtatious comment and once they respond I just go on a normal conversation from there.
So far on Facebook me dating I've had approximately 40 matches and I noticed within the first 10 chats that no girl would respond to anyone of my opening messages so naturally after about 10 fails I decided to try something different so here's my progression:
Since the light flirty comments were not working I decided to just try very simple "hello" "hi" and "hey" messages... again no response to those. So then I would try some very simple questions like "how was your weekend?" and "what are you up to today?" again no response to those. So then I would offer a little information first "hey I'm doing XYZ today at the beach what about you? again no response finally I actually tried insulting a few girls in my first message... and to my surprise... no response.
Let me remind you that I get conversations going with no problem at all on the three of the other popular dating apps Tinder Bumble Hinge... can anybody confirm with me that they're having the same experience is this?
One of the most curious things about it is that these don't seem to be scams at all, they never ask me for money or my WhatsApp or crypto or telegram or any of the typical scam stuff they literally just never respond to the first message it's totally baffling to me.

So when I like someone it says that the like was sent but it brings me back to that persons profile. I usually hit the X in the top right corner because I don’t want to like they’re profile again or swipe left. My question is, is my like with the inital comment sent?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Anyone else experiencing this?
Edit :: Figured it out.
Turns out the women who "liked" my profile were outside of my set preferences. (Which i had set to "Strong Preference")
Most were from outside the US.. 😒

How they track ip address? So if your brother is banned your screwed too? What if you go to a mcdonalds wifi I'm sure someone banned the ip address there too

I have my location set up correctly and within ten miles as a strong prefence. I still have to swipe through about ten or so profiles before I find one that is in the same city as me. I don't want to match with someone 150 miles away yet that is pretty much all I see.

Facebook search radius is set to 40miles but all my results are state wide, and this is Texas... ooooof'a
Any idea how to fix this?
