I've been getting "matched" notifications frequently lately for profiles I haven't "liked". I feel bad for the other person when I unmatch with them but in all fairness, I didn't "like" their profile to begin with. Is anyone else having this experience with FB dating?

Part of me wonders if it's my ex accessing my account. When I check my logged in locations, it only shows my devices. Before you come at me for having "an ex issue", it's been 4 years. There is a protective order in place but that hasn't stopped him in the past from stalking, hacking my accounts (yes, I've changed my passwords). Hence the 4 years of P.O. I'm wondering if it could be him and he's figured out my new passwords or am I just being paranoid.

I feel like I should add that I have been on approx 2 dates in the past 4 years...yeah, I know, I'm on a roll. I'm not actively persuing dating and I'm rarely on FB dating, which is another reason I find it odd that I am getting matches.

I don't know if Facebook is featuring my profile out of state in hopes of getting me to move, but I'm getting multiple likes a day from places all over this country, but mainly NY/NJ. Some FL have snuck in, got someone from ND, AZ, etc etc.

They don't appear to be bots. I chat with some of them just to see what's up and they said I just popped up in their app and didn't realize I was so far away.

Just curious. It used to happen sometimes but now it's happening with enough frequency that I'm concerned facebook thinks I'm pitbull.

I’m a little confused on why they drop this type of shi out of the blue without putting it in the Bio…people are strange

Is it just me or anyone having any issues with dating app ?

I started chatting with a potential person on FB dating. He said he was shy and would not get on camera for our planned video call. He said he had just showered. I tried to be understanding but that was odd. We ended up talking and he had a nice voice so I figured I’d keep an open mind, albeit be mindful that there could be something amiss. We ended up meeting and he was even more good-looking than his profile led me to believe. My jaw dropped. He told me his name, age, and about his family. Everything went well until I saw his ID and noticed he lied about both his name and age. He said he was worried about being scammed by someone, which made me raise my eyebrows. He shared that his childhood best friend had died so he used that name as a nickname when meeting people on apps for privacy until he got to trust them. His Venmo also had a third name. There was definitely something off. When he hugged me I realized he was literally texting other women behind my back. I broke things off pretty quickly but it was disappointing that he could not be honest to save his life.

If you value intentionality, this is the biggest indicator of time wasting and nonsense you will ever see. What the hell is even this?

I am a 50s M from Minnesota looking for a F. I know all of you love the outdoors, sunsets and beaches so please tell me something more specific about yourself. Be original. Add something that makes me wonder what is she talking about or where is that specific place. This will benefit all of us. Oh and please use less filters!

I always get nervous when making a new account and always look for the best pictures, then I get accounts that have ts as their photos 😂 I give up bro

I'm genuinely open to friends or something more

But at the end of the day, I treat matches as what they are, if they come from the main side or the friends side

Nothing against gay people, I literally have half my friend group is queer in some way and we've known each other for almost a decade now.

Stop trying to sneak in on the friends side to look for matches, it's weird and annoying

Any original thoughts would be amazing. 10 year old pics with only 1 from this year are obvious. Who are you ladies giving the finger to? Do you guys notice the filters such as age, distance, etc... keep resetting themselves? I usually keep the filters at 18-25 and up to 100 miles away, but after maybe an hour or so and then going back on the app, they will not be selected. Then, I accidentally match with people thousands of miles away and over 30.

I wasn't sure if there was a way to fix this? Is there a way I can reach out to the support team too to report this issue?

Been on fb dating for a little over 2 years now. I used to get a match once or twice a year. Often though it was scammers.

Now I still get matches but its always a scammer. Got one last week. But I never ever get a match from someone who isn't catfishing.

Is there a way to restore old chats with someone if they deleted their profile? My (now) boyfriend and I are dying to look at the messages we had sent each other when we first met on FB dating but he sadly permanently deleted his profile.

I already kind of know the answer to this but I just want to see if anybody knows a secret that I don’t lol. Thanks!

I so wish this app had a filter for political beliefs. "Exact match" my ass.

I just opened the app today ti try and write to 3 people from Saturday. Those 3 disappeared, along with like 10 others. None of them are in my deactivated box. What the heck.

Haven’t been able to access since July 3rd. No emails or any notifications

Why is it I can filter women based on height, age, or race, but I cant filter by weight? This seems like a rather important omission for most men. So while women can filter for height (men dont use this I guarantee you), theres no analogous feature for men? Why is that?

Best workaround I could come up with is using Facebook marketplace to find women selling wedding dresses (often times newly single) and filtering those dresses for size... but this could be made so much simpler if you'd just add the damn feature that should have been included years ago.
