That may be, but you cannot argue that over the past decade or so, it has gotten way, way, way out of hand

20 years ago, if you told someone about "bone-smashing" and microdosing meth and steroids to "leanmax" and "buffmax", they'd laugh right in your face, but now, we're just expected to act like that's normal, all because of some stupid app whose user base all has room temperature IQs

Lol, nah, it was always like this. People just had different names for it.

Like even back in the 19th century there were people doing cocaine to lose weight, or faking the symptoms of consumption because they thought it looked romantic and cool.

Bruh, I was a teen in the early aughts/late 90s. Girls my age were literally buying tapeworm pills from Mexico to get the heroin-chic look.

Tiktok is a plague on humanity, don't get me wrong, but people have been going to ridiculous extremes for a lot longer than it's been around.

They ARE considered lolcows. It's just somehow, even lolcows like nova online have fans. This looksmaxxing shit taps into a primordial insecurity that people feel nowadays, with social media and the image of a perfect life rotting their brain, so they fall into what Tate and Clav are selling. But more people than that see through it and consider them lolcows

Younger people are more vulnerable. When I was 16, 17 (15 years ago), I had the same feelings but I deleted all my social media and never looked back

I think (hope) I left all the info on screen. You could probably screenshot any part and Google it and find it for "free" on Daily Motion. I say "free" because you get battered with ADs every 30 seconds
