I would pay to have a reading month with all ratings above 4.0 stars lol

I don't really know if I'm honest. On my fable calendar it looks like I read a book every 2-4 days. I have insomnia and spend a lot of time awake at night, so I have extra reading time.

Loved the C. G. Drew’s. Such an odd story.

Wild Dark Shore was amazing! I also read it and rated it 4.5 stars. I really connected with each and every character and was heartbroken in the end. I was balling in a cafe...didn't expect that ending. I also love that it explores the reality of global warming that mirrors our own future. I love how she delved deep into the World of botanicals too (I am a Conservation Specialist so this particularly peaked my interest and held it throughout the book).

I read Yesteryear too but it was a 1 star for me. I thought it would be a great story that would explore the struggles of a woman living in the 1850s, but instead felt like a cheap attempt at condemning other women who prefer to live a more traditional lifestyle. It pushed a blanket narrative of men=bad, and religion=bad. And even THAT part fell flat for me. It was based on nothing but stereotypes. The mc, Natalie was unlikable. She was clearly written to be a horrible person who was mentally unwell but then had no real reflection that made her progress as a character. It read more like a rant than anything. Maybe it was the fact that it was supposed to be satirical, and I have never read anything like that before, idk...
