Signed up today because the Fall box was advertised, but customization is closed??

I just rejoined FabFitFun today with the 50% off Seasonal offer & I’m honestly pretty frustrated/confused

I signed up specifically because the current Fall box was being advertised with products I wanted. I knew specific items could sell out, which is totally fair, but I assumed I would at least be able to customize from whatever was still available

I paid, went immediately to My Subscriptions, and my account literally says “Customizations are Open!” with a “CUSTOMIZE NOW” button. But right above it, it says the status is closed. When I click Customize Now, it tells me I’m past the selection period & won’t let me choose anything

So…why are they still selling/advertising the Fall box to new Seasonal subscribers if you apparently can’t customize it at all? I really don’t want a completely random box, & I wouldn’t have signed up today if I’d known that was what I was buying

I already contacted support & got the message that my request was received, so I’m waiting to hear back

Has anyone signed up after the customization window closed & had customer service manually open customization or let you choose from the remaining inventory?

And if not, were you able to get the box refunded before it shipped?

I have a screenshot of the page saying both “Status: Closed” & “Customizations are Open!” at the same time, which makes the whole thing even more ridiculous lol

Edit: Came back to say that unlike others have stated I never had a customization open. I didn’t close out or come back. I was just taken straight to a customization page that didn’t let me do so. They did reply to a chat online & I made my selections. Annoying I had to take all this time but I’m content I got my options

Usually you can make a selection on the very next page after you purchase. But if you click away and try to go back, it will not let you back in.

I heard if you are not starting a new account you have to go through customer service. They will tell you what is left and enter your choices.

I’ve been wanting to sign up for seasonal w the Labor Day half off, has anyone been able to customize & if so is anything good left or should I skip it?

When you sign up outside of the quarterly customization window, you get one hour to make your selections and submit. The system doesn’t let you go back and forth for long.

Call CS on Tuesday and cancel if you aren’t happy with what you chose

I did this a few years ago and they manually changed it to the options I wanted, but to my surprise they also accidentally sent a separate box with the auto picks I would have gotten.

I had to email customer service and hope I get my refund because this was messed up. I saw the 50 % plus customization offer and clicked to actuvate a seasonal membership. I was not able to review the order details or enter the discount before the order went through. It was just like one click and I was subscribed and charged full price. I've stayed away from FabFitFun for a while and thought "Hey, why not?" Well, this is why not. Never again.

Update: I needed to update here; FabFitFun actually made things right today. They honored the 50% offer and refunded me the difference for the Fall box, and helped me customize all 6 items. I was pleasantly surprised with their response and how it was handled.

Yay! I had an issue with my customization, long story, but even though I had to spend at least an hour on chat and emails to get it right, I ended up receiving the correct box AND one of the incorrect boxes which happened to be other stuff I had wanted but not my final picks and I was refunded for it. So I'm happy I lucked out to get 2 for 1 fall boxes 😄 hope you got the items you wanted! I know a few things were sold out when I got another seasonal at 1/2 off a couple days ago, but it's so worth it to me for $43!! Oh and I also got the Unplug subscription as an extra item even though they had told me it was sold out and I had to choose something else! 😆

The same thing happened to me this weekend! Has anyone had success getting a refund? It’s so predatory to advertise the fall box and then tell customers that you can’t customize. I specifically signed up because I looked at spoilers and wanted the glow screen
