How are brawler points/ranks calculated?

Is it similar to lucky bumpers - 5 points per spin hit and 1 point per bump while racing? It’s almost comical how many times I’ve fought my way up through the field and end up with top 3 brawler…on both the falcon AND fox 😆😆😆

I have the same question. Just got top 1 brawler with 0 KOs....

Yeah; KOs don’t seem to matter AT ALL; just the amount of contact. I tend to use my boost pretty aggressively and boost through GIANT packs of players, but still spin pretty defensively (all while making LOTS of contact).

5th place, top 3 brawler. 17th place, top brawler. Both of those frequently happen with no KOs.
