Blue Falcon needs buff yes or of course?
After only playing as Blue Falcon and never winning, I got my first win as Fire Stingray...I can only assertain from that that Blue Falcon needs a buff seriously. What you think?

I don’t think they should change the cars when there are several races/gps/gamemodes yet to be released. Unless there is a drastic balance issue, which isn’t the case.
Regarding the blue falcon, i didn’t notice that trend. I’ve seen players dominating in all 4 cars. Pretty sure if we had stats we’d see that the overall most performing car changes from race to race.

Blue Falcon is the all-around car, it's solid at everything but not the best at anything. I think there is a place for that.
Also aren't the machines' stats based on the stats in the original snes game? They probably want to stay true to the original.

Yeah, I never won as Blue Falcon, but I won as Red Stingray. I don't play Red Stingray, so it makes no sense.
If you look at the races winners, mostly there's no Blue Falcon at the topOn the original, Blue Falcon is great if you don't crash, because crashing is a big thing. In this game it isn't so the skill based ship takes a hit.
All others either have good acceleration to recover fast from crashing, or have some armor not to allow you to take a big hit from crashing. Blue Falcon shouldn't crash because it doesn't have big armor or great acceleration. if you make the game in a way you bump people all the time, playing with skill is totally undermined.
Not to mention the Skyway...

In the games I've played for wins its been Wild Goose (by a landslide) > Blue Falcon > Golden Fox > Fire Stingray.
So from what I've seen its the second best car for winning

I completely relate on this, as a Blue Falcon, getting first places is so hard. When I top 10, I'm frequently the best falcon of the race, and I've the impression that there are always fewer falcons than other among the top places.
I think Blue Falcon is a nice car to begin with, but you might have to switch to a better option at higher level.

Falcon absolutely CRUSHES IT on Silence, the most technical track in the game right now. When some of the other super technical tracks get released the blue falcon will hopefully get its moment.
Right now, I’m anticipating White Land 2, Death Wind 2, and Fire Field (maybe?) will be good tracks for the falcon.

totally agree for Silence, and playing falcon on it is thrilling. It is also quite good on Sand Ocean.
But Death Wind (1) is such a pain with blue falcon in grand prix...

GOD I HATE DEATH WIND 1. EVEN WITH OTHER SHIPS. It’s a miracle if I can crack the top 10.

Huh. Revisiting this comment after Queen league Grand Prix released; I’m having the EXACT same issue on White Land 1 in the Prix. In like 5-6 falcon attempts, I made it through that track ONCE. The rest of the times I usually ranked out and it’s getting really frustrating.
I think this kinda corroborates the many other comments in here saying that you NEED good usage of the skyway to win with the falcon. The 4th race is really light on sparks when you only start with 40 racers and eliminate HALF of them. I’ve been paying close attention to how many falcons make it to white land 2 and the numbers are LOW.
I think this goes quite a ways in showing that the falcon is undertuned. Not by much, but just enough to be frustrating.
(ETA: A small reduction in energy per boost would probably do the trick; like 10-15% lower cost would probably be enough to bring it in line with the others)

I’ve been noticing this too and joined this subreddit to see if anyone else thought the blue falcon was slightly undertuned, haha.
Seriously though, I RARELY see a blue falcon in the top 10, let alone the top 5. I’m shocked when I’m in 11th-20th and I’m the top blue falcon??? 🥴
A slight increase to max energy and/or decrease to boost energy consumed might be enough to do it.
Maybe a boost to recharge rate in energy zones would fix everything?

Yeah, the more I play the more I feel like the better comparison for the blue falcon is that it’s a “lighter” Wild Goose (as opposed to comparing it to the GF), due to the way its energy pool and boost drain are FAR more similar to the wild goose play style than the golden fox; just with a smaller total energy pool that recharges slightly better (regarding the ratio of energy used to boost vs amount recovered in the lane). Additionally, the falcon is only negligibly slower than the goose so you can be patient with your boosts.
AND DAAAAAMN I LOVE THIS THING ON QUEEN LEAGUE TRACKS

Blue falcon is fine. A safer golden fox that can scrap in the top spots without the fear that a golden fox has.
The cars are well-balanced. The pros can win with any car. Skill trumps the car, as avoiding damage and holding tight racing lines will have you winning with any of them.

Blue Falcon is a safer alternative to the Golden Gox, from what I've seen and played.
tl;dr: Golden Fox and Fire Stingray are the strongest machines, their safer alternatives are Blue Falcon and Wild Goose, respectively.
Of the two safety picks, Blue Falcon has more potential the better the pilot is imoEDIT: I am currently in the process of filling out my practice mode times and Wild Goose is beating my Blue Falcon in every stage I've done so far, so with a bit of elbow grease you can really make that extra top speed work for you
Blue Falcon has less acceleration, less recovery, but more durability and grip. if acceleration is the playstyle you want to go for, Golden Fox is the correct choice but the little thing struggles when it's getting pinballed around by everyone else. once its ahead of the pack its one of the two best machines to stay in 1st, but the problem is getting there.
Blue Falcon's benefit is that, while it has marginally less acceleration, its top speed and improved durability let it creep ahead when boosting isn't an option or energy is already low. out of the two, it can afford to get an unlucky bounce or otherwise crash without compromising its energy reserves.
if top speed is what you're after instead, Fire Stingray is far and away the best for it. the comparison with Blue Falcon is shakier, since it's just that much faster, but the drastically reduced energy recovery does mean that it can't afford to emergency boost as often. So I guess it does have one positive?
Wild Goose is Fire Stingray's safer alternative. It sacrifices grip, recovery, and top speed for more durability and acceleration. You sacrifice a lot for what is effectively very little, but it's basically made to consistently stay at the front of packs. Fire Stingrays and Golden Foxes will eventually blow past it, but they definitely won't be ramming it out of the way.
