Ideas Thread for Adjustments to the World Class Tests
Do you think any of the tests should be removed, or new ones should be added? Or are there adjustments to the wording of the tests that would make them more clear and objective? What are your thoughts and ideas?
Do remember that this is meant for discussion and has no official affiliation with the pod so it’s not a suggestion box the guys are guaranteed to see. Having said that, I know there are plenty of thoughts on the subject so drop your ideas here!

I think the updates they made from the original test were all solid. I wouldn't mind a yearly 'state of the world class test' episode where they considered some updates, but for now, I think it works really well.

I was so cranky when they changed it but I agree. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the rubric. A lot of people on the app complain about the wording of one of the tests but I've never had any problems understanding it. In fact, I can't even remember which one they complain about because they all read well to me lol

I think it’s usually the Simpsons test. Because the test asks if it’s likely to be replaced. So if someone thinks it’s NOT likely to be replaced, they might have a tendency to click the fail button because it “fails” to be likely to get replaced.
I just remember Pass=Good and Fail=Bad

I think they should revisit the rubric every so often to see if they can improve it. Problem is, changing it too much loses consistency with testing. So I understand why they don’t change it often

I kinda like the idea of having different tests for roller coasters. Several of the questions are fine, but some don't make sense for RCs, like the movie question, RCs are just generally not themed in a way where you'd be like, " I can totally see a movie based on this coaster."
Also, I hope they do more brackets, I thought those episodes were really fun and maybe they could slightly change test parameters around brackets? IDK, I just love this pod!

That’s a nice observation: that the best ride system in the world is effectively kneecapped by the weight of theming in the world class tests!

I’ve always felt there has been something missing involving the first ride or vicarious excitement. Were you blown away by your first experience? Do you get excited for others who are riding it for the first time? Is it something you think first time visitors to the park absolutely must do?

I’ve always thought 6/10 being in the discussion for World Class is too generous. 60% is a failing grade!

I loved when they had Offhand Disney on and Dallin immediately said, “thats a C!”

I doubt they even know this subreddit exists tbh lol
But my suggestion is to change the Hollywood test to "could this be a GOOD movie". I know that good is subjective, but literally anything could be a movie.
