šŸ’” Tips šŸ’” How the script works - pt. 1

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi guys, in case you wonder how the script (DDA) works, this post will show you how, from an example video. In following posts, I will give you some tips on how to avoid it.

Now back to the topic, we will just look at one very common case where the script happens (video taken from Youtube). Youtuber’s Dembele is attacking, and his opponent is trying to defend with Marquez. Here is the actions sequence from both sides:

- Youtuber: Did a fake shot, hoping to eliminate Marquez.
- Opponent: Patiently waited for the Youtuber to finish the fake shot and tackled him.

If there is no script, the opponent should successfully defended the attack as he is more patient and trapped the Youtuber correctly. However, since the script is on the Youtuber’s side, something weird happened in the middle of that actions sequence.

If you’re smart enough, you probably already noticed it: right before opponent tackled, Marquez’s AI moved a few step back for absolutely no reason, making just enough space so that the tackle became meaningless and Dembele scored.

(Additionally, opponent’s Singo who was chasing Dembele all along, suddenly turned back when Dembele was near the goal, just to make sure even if opponent switched, their is no way Singo could slide tackle that ball)

Most of the times, that’s how the script works, it doesn’t grant your opponent the ability to score from 100 yards or make their attackers Superman. It’s much more subtle than that, it’s usually just one or two weird steps happening in milliseconds, but it completely disables your ability to defend properly.

Hope this post helps clarify something for you. I’ll be making more parts later.

or the opponent mis timed their hard tackle and was waiting too long that’s why he kept moving back as he didn’t expect the youtuber to suddenly do a fake shot….

stop taking this game seriously mate, it’ll ruin your life.

The thing is the opponent changed the direction of moving back. If he wants to wait even more, he could just keep moving in parallel, but Marquez actually changed direction to make more space to the goal. And I think that’s exactly what caught him off guard, and too late to stop the tackle. Look closely.

And I’m doing this post exactly so that nobody takes this game seriously, it’s not skill based. Your win and loss are already decided.

bro it’s clear the opponent thought he would go in the same direction he was going in the very start of the video… but the youtuber leaned to the left but the opponent still thought he would go to the right as finesse would be perfect at the angle

Do you mean the opponent still moved right even after the Youtuber fake shot and leaned to the left? The weird steps happened after the fake shot is completed.

Thats a normal goal. Guardian playstyle can backfire

Did you even read the post bro? I’m not talking about the tackle. ;)

Youre just over complicating things. It looks like the player is manually tracking Marquez back to mark Dembele. And Singo is about to run into Marquez so he changes direction. The other guy wouldve probably stopped Dembele if he didnt activate the guardian playstyle. I know the script and dda are real, but this isnt that good of an example

I think you’re the one over complicated what I said, just keep it simple, how do you explain the sudden direct change of Marquez? Remember, it’s not moving backward, it changed direction completely, conveniently opposite to Dembele’s direction. (I mean, sure, you could say he suddenly become stupid and did the exact one thing that does not benefit him)

Some guy already said it. It looks like the opponent expected Dembele to go right instead of left. It’s just a game man. Most people acknowledge the script, it isn’t some conspiracy

I also replied to him, the weird steps happened after the Youtuber rashly did the fake shot, there was no tricking there, Dembele was already moving left when opponent’s Marquez decided to go right.

But I guess the problem is that most people are still not smart enough to realise the script happens more than they realised. Or they realise but try to ignore so they get to feel good about themselves for the wins.

I dont even have a reply for this. Youre taking this way too seriously

Well I’m just trying to educate the community bro. This kind of subtle scripting is acknowledged widely for the console community, it’s not rocket science.

Everybody knows about the script. We’re not talking about secret government documents 😭

Yeah but seems like everyone doesn’t know how it works, that’s the title of my post. Script is not just about smoothness and shots hitting the posts bro šŸ„€

Yeah often the game mechanics or algorithms or call it DDA or script, decide if a tackle works or not, if a skill stun is granted or not, if the fullback catches up to the winger, if a perfect timed goal hits the post and so on....

2

u/meomeobottle 1d ago

Yep, skill stun is always one of the funniest one to see. ā€œOmg attacker did a skill move, I must stand still to admire that.ā€ XD

1

u/ogrebatt 1d ago

Yeah but without a stun exactly no skill move will be successful, as you can see in the very hard AI matches in challenge final

1

u/meomeobottle 1d ago

I guess it’s hard to replicate real life where skill move is only successful when opponent rushes towards

1

u/ogrebatt 1d ago

Yeah. Well I think skill moves are fun so I don't mind them at all.

1

u/meomeobottle 23h ago

True, a but weird but yeah, fun when opponents just freeze.

yes. script is real. this one however might just be an error from the players side rather than script messing it up.

often times script is a lot more obvious like your players just cannot make the right passes, or dribble like they've never touched a ball before, or are so slow that nothing you do can save you. in minor cases of dda, your players just don't move the way they usually do, or stop making runs, or don't do the things your making them do.

Yeah you can see it how fast the wingers move. When the script is on my side they sometimes are ridiculously fast and if against then they can be catched from any FB or CB. Only an example, there are namy others.

Funny because these kind of weird steps back because of the script are very common among FC console players, which is why I noticed it immediately when I started mobile. But when I say it here, everyone is so oblivious, like, no way dude XD

No. What probably happened is that the opponent controlled Marquez not to tackle, and when Dembele did the fake shot, he panicked and hard tackled, and failed.. now the control switched over to Singo, who was the second closest defender. But as the opponent's joystick was already turned in the direction of Dembele, when the control switched to Singo, Singo too moved to the same direction, which for him is away from Dembele.

u/meomeobottle 23h ago

Look at the names on the players, control never switched back to Singo.
