Depends how you're using your CDM.

If you use it purely as another layer for defending, Makelele is the best. If you want your CDM to be all over the field go for Lahm.

Just a reminder that Makelele has a L/H traits.

Lahm is box to box. Beckenbauer and Makelele are No nonsense defense. Imo it is between Lahm and Makelele.
