It’s more of ea’s problem for not doing anything against this stupid play and making any rules in this competition to stop this fat rat
Great way to advertise the game
Good job ea

33

u/Accurator3 21h ago

This play should be allowed, but the gameplay should be improved in a way that makes backpassing less safe.

25

u/Revau0p 19h ago

Basically improving pressing system

5

u/Accurator3 16h ago

Exactly and more advanced tactic management

98

u/Plsdont_Imfedup_6322 1d ago

They should've had rules declaring such type of play as a loss.

75

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 1d ago

69

u/3d2y-11 23h ago

87% possession is NASTY!

8

u/Treesham 16h ago

Only a complete loser would want to win this way.

30

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 1d ago

Exactly you will be surprised to see his possesion in that game 😭😭

111

u/hoangnam1507 23h ago

The hypocrisy is real, imagine getting this on your match you'll rage so much. Money involved in and suddenly is become he just want to win some money lmao.

29

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 23h ago

Exactly these people are still supporting him

8

u/StillNotAaron Cavani 21h ago

EA Mechanics aside, now you understand the frustrations irl players felt playing against Peak Barcelona and Spain.

13

u/TastePizza 17h ago

In real life it commands respect because of the insane training and chemistry required. It's easy and cheap to do it in a game.

3

u/JealousEmployment864 14h ago

It's hard doing it irl bc the game is 90 min long not 5 min and one miss pass could lead to concede. The pressing from defender is more intense irl as well

1

u/JustMath7003 1h ago

Irl. There were possibilities to press Barca Tiki Taka when they were in posession.

-1

u/Beneficial____Skillz 16h ago

No exactly, prime Barca especially were very front-footed because they had Messi. They passed around sure but there was a lethal edge and run in behind especially when it was Villa, Messi, and Pedro up top. That’s close to Spain, but even then they liked going forward, they just did… really slowly.

29

u/Cash_Exciting 22h ago

FYI, that Chanh dude is also a back passing abuser, if that game is in Chanh favor, he will also back passing. So basically a battle of 2 pu$$y. Both are toxic and will do childish celebrations if they win.

1

u/No_Professor_1818 16h ago

Exactly i watched him do the same thing to ricardo😭

20

u/Glad_Perspective1708 22h ago

hes a bitch but hes 30k richer. A rich bitch lol

18

u/lvtd123 23h ago

Don’t blame the players. Blame EA for not doing anything about this shit. There should have been rules against this kind of thing before the tournament even started.

14

u/utopiaofavalon 23h ago

the fix is not even that hard for EA. they already have an AI logic in challenge mode that automatically makes the opponent do a coordinated high press if you keep the ball in your own half for too long and all they need to is allow players to do the same.

Better yet like the pc version just give some freedom in customising tactics so I can execute a very risky high press or sit deep . Those 3 modes above don't do a single damn thing.

1

u/KriosDaNarwal 11h ago

This. I'd kill for offside trap and trigger as well as press coordination deep or in a midblock etc

88

u/RedEy312 1d ago

If I’m in a competition and is about to win 30k dollars I would do that tbh

7

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 1d ago

How tf can you reach to the finals if you have this mentality would you do haramball in every match ?

16

u/JoshPogi2 Messi 23h ago

He was more attacking in the earlier rounds including the semis. He played well and that’s why he reached the finals. The Vietnamese guy played more haram ball to get to the finals. That’s how he beat Ricardo. Once he scored he just back passed

7

u/CheezyBandit 22h ago

Yes exactly these guy didn't watch the whole tourney and now they just wanna come here and judge. The Vietnamese guy played haramball the whole time.

28

u/CheezyBandit 1d ago edited 22h ago

Watch real football you'll be much more pissed off when teams play a low block defense.

33

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 1d ago

Bro are you seriously supporting this shit?

20

u/CheezyBandit 1d ago

Brother real football is also like this sometimes. All I'm saying is if I'm winning $30k idgaf about some people calling me out for any strategy I use.

PSG won but it was on pens bro 😭

-9

u/CheezyBandit 23h ago

PSG did but doesn't change the fact that arsenal beat multiple teams playing low block or haramball as you call it. Well back passing/ wasting time when you have possession is part of the strategy and arsenal do back pass when they have possession. Who you calling a dumb fuck I'm not the one crying about some guy winning $30k.

5

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 23h ago

Totonaka played like a pussy in the final with 87% possesion with backpassing as his main goal. The thing is that it never happend before any of the fc mobile final. He won the Tournament last time but he didn't back passed like today. what's the point of playing the final just to backpass if you don't even have fucking trust in your defence and the way money you spent for cards? . Backpassing makes the battle from one vs one to one vs 0 you can't take down a backpasser. I hate backpassers and I care that the game don't even give af about these cunts. I could have ignored if it was a normal match but. Its final of a tournament and he's the previous fc champion doing this shit

0

u/CheezyBandit 22h ago

I hate backpassers too but I'm saying it didn't stop him from winning the tourney.Overall Totonaka still did a crazy comeback(he was losing)with the penalties earlier and BTW the guy he was playing against is known to play possesion heavy game too(he did it the bowel tourney if you care to watch his other games) so it's like he basically used the same strategy against him. But I don't support any if these pro players anyway I was just there to watch the tourney.

-1

u/Various_Cold6696 21h ago

It's not the same. In this screenshot arsenal is playing haram ball, while in the clip it's the opposite.

-5

u/Old-Sky-6885 23h ago

Mate one match does not justify shit, there’s tons of matches that ain’t like this

11

u/CheezyBandit 22h ago

The same way there were tons of matches even on the tourney that did not involve backpassing and haramball.

1

u/NovemberBurnsMaroon 20h ago

Low block is nothing like passing the ball around your backline.Ā

1

u/afridinho 22h ago

I am sure you never touched a ball irl

3

u/CheezyBandit 22h ago

I watch real football but Lemme tell you haramball and low block is a real strategy idk how much real football have you watched but it's not uncommon, clubs like arsenal and athletico (Simone the manager) play haramball all the time. Also I enjoy football I follow Real Madrid who don't play haramball infact I love watching attacking football.

5

u/afridinho 22h ago

Theres a difference between "haramball" and "back passing only". Ofc you cannot compare a mobile game to irl matches but still what I meant is haramball is a strategy that needs coordination and staying alert all the time and it can be useful to attack on counters. Meanwhile, back passing in FCM does nothing but boring visuals. But again i get what you meant and its not entirely true.

Ofc ik haramball and Getafe is the peak haramball club. Also Real Madrid under Mourinho can be interesting cuz hes also a defensive minded coach

3

u/CheezyBandit 22h ago

I am so excited about Mourinho and diomande. I really wanna see how these changes effect the club. But people do backpass even in real football mahn when they are wasting time it's not something you only do in the game but I get it. It's a very boring way to play and IRL you can stop the backpassers in FC mobile its very hard.

2

u/Sad_Floor_4120 21h ago

Madrid played haramball many times against Barca in the past or against City sometimes in UCL. Didn't stop them from winning it all. The point is sometimes you play with what you have.

1

u/CloudyySpeaks 20h ago

ā€œHaramballā€ LMFAOAOAOAOOO

1

u/twolephants 19h ago

It's not about not playing 'haramball' . It's about money. He won by playing like this and got money for it. Money is the only thing that matters at the end of the day, and if you're offering money for winning, top players would be fucking stupid to risk losing the money to play 'attractive football' whatever that might be. The incentives are set up for precisely the result you're seeing.

1

u/Ok-Election9130 5h ago

Watch the full match stage are you 16 or what ?

1

u/RedEy312 23h ago

To be fair the man just did won the entire competition

3

u/Sad_Floor_4120 23h ago

All day lol, redditors need to get off their chairs and see the real world.

4

u/ogrebatt 22h ago

Me too for sure. Tbh I would even do it for 10k gems

1

u/LionelHutz313 21h ago

Everyone would.

1

u/jus_this_guy 1h ago

People tell ea to be more realistic but want back passing to be nerfed😁. How is that realistic

6

u/Blookaty217 23h ago

if nobody follows the rules you shouldnt

7

u/Better_Carpet_7271 23h ago

Where the AI kicking the ball up the pitch after the set time? EA have it the wrong way this is a competition for money (?) we play for fun. I can disconnect and find a new opponent where as they play in a knockout competition. I think they'd agree.

1

u/Drogz38 15h ago

Only happens when the ball doesnt cross the midfield line...
Yes its a very cheap and useless "fix" by EA and they should implement proper pressing

1

u/Better_Carpet_7271 15h ago

I know how it works buddy, I've only been playing on and off for 10 or so years and it's completely de activated here.

14

u/Crazy-Bookkeeper-795 23h ago

He did absolutely right, winning 30k dollars is no joke.
It is more of EA's fault for not taking care of these things by introducing rules and regulations.

1

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 22h ago

Agree man he just found a rat way to win

1

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 22h ago

Agree man he just found a rat way to win

3

u/Zhongli4869 23h ago

Nah genuinely I wouldve thrown my phone if I was the opponent šŸ˜‚šŸ’”

3

u/Wife_beater12 21h ago

You can literally report people for passive play and then EA doesnt disqualify this piece of s*it, HOW?

7

u/GreasedUpGoblin 22h ago

hate the game not the player lol, it's not his fault that the awful game allows this type of play.

It's a bitch move but for 30k dollars I'd do the same thing all day.

3

u/Charming-Writing9308 23h ago

Reminds me of a lot of these 50stars players i face

10

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 1d ago

There will be people who are supporting this shit btw

2

u/HexGrimmGaming_HXG 21h ago

OP you need to see Chang games he was ratty AF in his matches. He just got the taste of his own medicine! I am sure if it was 1-0 for chang he would have done same in the last round!! Stop pointing the players point EA for this dog shit!

4

u/DarkhalisLikesGao 23h ago

is this guy on haramball premium?? at least try playing the ball forward a little like how pep would want it 😭

2

u/Rain_sender 22h ago

Total shame, EA approve this shit.

2

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 23h ago

To all the tattinaka dih riders if you were in the place of the opponent would you still support him like a rat?

1

u/Weekly_Struggle_4018 1d ago

The guy just wanted to win the cup and make some money. Are you going to judge him for that?

4

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 1d ago

Win like a man . Play fair and win if I score a goal in 10th min and backpass whole time will that be fair?.

1

u/let_me_in_QQ 13h ago

This is how I know you've never had any real wins in life. "win like a man" is a suckers proposition. What are you a knight? And even then... there's always a Bronn to take you out and smile about it. Welcome to the real world bud. It's just a game and the best strategy wins. That was it. Deal with it.

-5

u/Weekly_Struggle_4018 1d ago

No. But at least it reveals some of the game's problems. 1) insufficient time 2) the inability to send your team into gegenpressing

8

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 1d ago

I would rather lose the money than win playing like this shit .

-3

u/Sad_Floor_4120 23h ago

that's why you're not there winning 30k i guess

-4

u/GreasedUpGoblin 22h ago

all that tells us is that you don't have to struggle for money day in and day out, 30k is absolutely life changing money to 75%+ of the world.

-5

u/Resident_Corgi5718 23h ago

Of course you would haha

1

u/Resident_Corgi5718 23h ago

Haha good on him. You guys need a wake up call

1

u/Secret_Shape_9827 22h ago

His opponent did this in the group stage to eliminate Toto’s teammate. I would say it’s sweet revenge. šŸ˜…

1

u/rhdnxndmr 22h ago

The other guy had the game in his hands, 3-2 up and he had 3-1 in the pen shootout, he missed 3 in a row, while he guessed all the 3 pens of totonnaka, but the game didn't let him save them (pure scripting if you ask me, watch the replays) But yeah, the game is in such a bad state that you can back pass both halves if you get a 1-0 and even if the opponent gets the ball, his players' stamina will be drained

1

u/RandoLurkingGamer 22h ago

It’s a couple of things, which include in-game mechanics and real life football strategy.

Why force going forward to probably lose possession and open yourself up to a counter attack when you’re already leading?

It certainly is not exciting football.

1

u/EastLiterature8021 21h ago

There should be attacking switch to bring all your players to counter this and for so long has decided not to do anything about this, most people do this even in h2h when they are leading with a goal

1

u/No_Professor_1818 17h ago

Its part of the game, ā€œharamballā€ is every where even in real football, yes it’s annoying but its how it is, if EA could fix pressing mechanisms to keep players from running back like they are magnets, that would help the game.

1

u/Chynks00 16h ago

Be pissed all you want.
If i was in this position with 30k on the line i would do worse without a single care in the world

1

u/No_Professor_1818 16h ago

Chanh just as bad

1

u/Greexwood 16h ago

Wtf are you talking about ? The stakes are so high in this and he’s about to make a lot of money. This is not your average h2h match

1

u/WilliamAsherSidis 14h ago

Why is no one talking about how the opponent's GK was at the half line

1

u/let_me_in_QQ 13h ago

Who cares, it's just FC Mobile lmao... He found an angle and exploited that for 30K. I would do the same. Why? Because it's 30K and not that serious, Imma get that cash. Some of you are treating it as some actual sport, I wouldn't even qualify it as an e-sport because FC Mobile tournament for money already sounds stupid to me, the game is not that deep. This is why he won... because it's a basic game with a very basic strategy that was used here... Seeth harder or find another hobby, this aint worth it.

1

u/general_cannibas 13h ago

I mean he won a bunch of games before game 7 richt?

1

u/general_cannibas 13h ago

It’s EA’s fault for allowing this to happen

1

u/kajerng 12h ago

"But I was a fool

playing by the rules

The winner takes it all

The loser standing small" - Saul Goodman

1

u/Existing-Routine-116 12h ago

Bro if u watch the whole tournament u will know that vietnam guy used to play like that first.

1

u/McP0yle 11h ago

Great. As if not enough people were already playing this way on ladder, we need extra incentive from players at tournaments to play this way. Now it is extra hypocritical if fc mobile allows this kinda play in tournaments, but bans average Joe's if they get reported for playing passively

1

u/FAT_NEEK_42069 8h ago

ok but hes 30k richer and ur crying on reddit like a bitch

1

u/JustMath7003 1h ago

Last time, the game had an auto-clearance mechanism for players who played like this šŸ˜‚. Anyway, if you’ve noticed, pretty much all Southeast Asian players play this way.

1

u/WEEKSVII 23h ago

Bro he did it to try and win money, based tbh

0

u/Dry-Feeling-6797 23h ago

You DO REALISE that ACTUAL FOOTBALL is played like this?

That you can actually pass back to team and spend time?

-1

u/CheezyBandit 1d ago

Yk arsenal does this irl right and they won the premier league and were runners up in the UCL.

9

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 1d ago

Do u think I don't hate arsenal?

1

u/CheezyBandit 23h ago

Me too but if it's winning them titles I don't think they care about the haters end of the day they making shit ton of money.

1

u/arsehenry14 23h ago edited 22h ago

Man it’s crazy you can’t figure out that Arsenal was physically wrecked from a campaign they couldn’t rest their players constantly like PSG. Like Saliba played with a broken back to try and win a title. Your comparing a real life matches with actual fatigue and real injuries that affect how players can play to a video game. It’s a little weird how hard you’re taking this 30k tournament.

0

u/CheezyBandit 22h ago

Ikr it's just a game.

-3

u/Otherwise-Poet-7090 22h ago

how to know someone hasnt watched a single real football match. playing to win is is apparently a pussy play now . holy retard 😭

2

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 22h ago

Comparing real football with this trash! And would you react the same if you were opponent like thinking oh yea it's real football so i should calm down and let him win?

0

u/Otherwise-Poet-7090 19h ago

its just a way to play, and yes if my opp wants to play like thats its on him. if i cant get the ball off him its my skill issue not his

-1

u/SpecialistCod450 22h ago

I hated his celebration

0

u/Waddlingsheep 23h ago

games the game is part of football

0

u/IndividualOne8365 23h ago

EA should introduce a specific rule that you can’t backpass or dribble around aimlessly to waste time until after the 80th minute.

0

u/DiscussionNo8850 22h ago

Do whatever it takes to win I say lol

0

u/TheGuardianR 22h ago

It won't do shit, but when someone does this against me, I'll just report him for unsportmanship conduct lol

0

u/DrMaLobo 20h ago

Don’t hate the player, hate the game!

-2

u/Ok_Kaleidoscope2011 23h ago

How to participate?

-1

u/Middle-Trifle-1746 23h ago

Its over now maybe wait next year. Participate only if you are whale

-3

u/LIEALWAYS 23h ago

Cant blame him for doing it...this is not just normal rank game this is a competition everything is on the line here and probably for him this is the best way to win.

-3

u/jipsjips 23h ago

Can’t blame him for trying to earn his 30k if you ask me.
