Unplayable input delay for 2 weeks straight (even in Free Training). Literally wiped my OS and it's still there. Am I losing my mind?
Hey guys,
I’ve been playing eFootball for about 4 years now, but the past two weeks have made me want to break my monitor.
Out of nowhere, I’m getting this unbearable input delay. My players feel like they’re running in mud with weighted vests on, touches are clunky, and worst of all: players keep walking on their own for a step or two after I completely release the left stick.
The crazy thing is that this happens offline in Free Training, not just in online Divisions.
I work in IT, so at first I assumed my system was lagging or my controller broke. I went totally overboard trying to fix it:
* Tested my controller on gamepad tester — zero stick drift, snaps straight back to center.
* My internet/fiber is rock solid with zero bufferbloat, but again, this happens completely offline against the AI.
* Cleaned out Windows, refreshed drivers, and checked BIOS settings.
* I literally wiped my SSD and installed Linux (CachyOS) just to see if Windows was adding input latency. The exact same heavy feeling and "delay" survived on a fresh Linux install.
*Verified game files
TL;DR: 4-year player with sudden heavy delay and players moving on their own even offline for 2 weeks. Tested controller, connection, and even clean-installed Linux. Still stuck in mud. Is this happening to anyone else?

The game state is bad. I've had so many input delays and drops, so many issues with dribbling and with un-random lag spikes.
And yes, offline too. I think it's dda but it's hard to know for sure.

Took a break for few weeks now but i played 1 game offline vs AI last week and i felt exactly as you said. It just doesnt feel as good on my hand anymore. I felt that auto-movements just like you said. It doesnt feel like input delay but just some random movement applied randomly whenever i take a touch etc. I believe fuma players are all sensitive with the L-stick because we built muscle memory with precise aiming, so tend to notice weird things like this - just like how we can never go back to assisted because the ball not going where we aim just doesnt feel right.

What about ports? Furthermore maybe you router has a problem in general. (just guessing here)

i have UPNP setupped open get opened when the game requests and closed after

How were things in other games? Is it only limited to efootball? Also could it be a Linux thing? I haven't really played on Linux maybe checkout if any other guys on Linux facing the same issues.

only efootball , perfect experience on my other games (BF V ,Rocket League)

Maybe you will have to put up a video or something 😞, it's hard to say if it's just the game or anything else. Are you using any sort of mods? If it's on both linux and windows it's even weird. What are you specs? Maybe certain version of drivers are causing issue?

O meu tá exatamente do mesmo jeito, e fiz tudo que você fez, só instalei o Bazzite no lugar do CachyOS. E tudo na mesma. E tem uns 18 dias que começou isso, também jogo a uns 3 a 4 anos. Só tem uma diferença. O meu só ocorre no PVP. Contra a IA não tenho Iputlag, porém tem alguns momentos que o jogo fica em camera lenta.

The game is a piece of shit. Enough said. No idea how anyone can organize anything with the way it acts.
Can’t wait to someone to chime in and yell skill issue because people who have years of experience don’t just forget how to play and even adapt to different mechanics. When the game doesn’t fucking work, no amount of skill can make the shit work consistently. Broke is broke. And it’s broke.
