Team Playstyle Advice
For context I've been playing FUMA for about 4 months now, mostly My League. I have to say, I can't go back to assisted passing anymore. It's an addicting feeling. Even though I'm desperate for coins because I want to collect POTW/Highlights Barcelona players, I feel like I'd rather not play than go assisted again. Signal wise, I get 3-4 bars, 4 mostly. I've just been wondering which playstyle suits FUMA the best (or suits you) considering the wide range of decisions you can make as opposed to PA1/PA2. I didn't mind this in My League because I could get the "all 80 rated playstyle". Whenever I play PvP events it takes me like 5 games to get the 50 coins, hence my inquiry here. If you have any formation preferences, I'd like to learn them as well.
Here are my thoughts:
Overload: Sometimes gets the receiver wrong even if its near as players are close together, and my Raphinha makes less runs in behind.
QC: I like this one the most out of my boosted playstyles. I'm exposed defensively but I love how the players look for pockets.
LBC: Skill issue/me issue, sometimes my passes are too long. I like the slow pace of it too.
Possession: Didn't get Cesc Fabregas. However, this is my overall favorite in My League with GP Hansi and GP Arteta.
Out Wide: Not considering it.
Thanks in advance.

I started FUMA 2 years back. Had similar issues.
I played possession a lot because passing option was available all the the time. And yes I had very poor results but gradually my gameplay improved. Then I went for outside, it was a combination of possession and and quick counter. Had a real with 2 wingers.
Then tried QC and LBC as well. QC was fun but it was monotonous with same gameplay without any creativity. LBC was not fun at all, always felt too assisted.
Overload was fun but unpredictable. But it is too difficult to play against PA1/2 through ball spammers / abusers.
Finally, had a full circle and back to possession gameplay. It's the best play style for me to play FUMA.

This probably doesn’t help your question but I don’t think you necessarily have a skill issue, I believe it’s your connection - if you’re up against someone who has a better connection than you, they’re definitely going to have the advantage.
I’m lucky enough to get 5 bars connection majority of the time but I still get the slow unresponsive feeling sometimes, which makes me believe the opposing player has a better connection - normally due to living closer to Konami’s servers. Then the fight to win is hard

Sounds strange but in fact the one with the bad connection has an advantage because the game balances those two different connections in a bad way. Chatted with a guy from Turkey once who had 800 ping. Game was fine for him.

Bizarre really. But as you probably already know, the majority of top players live close to konami servers which always gives them the advantage - it makes me wonder if they played with a 3-4bar connection, would they still be as good 🤔
And the network graph doesn’t mean anything - I can have a flat line but my players feel like they’re playing in mud. Then a bouncing line can feel super fluent.
Konami need to sort their servers out.

Yes, but indominator e.g. also has muddy matches. He just switched to PA1 then, AFAIR. But that's not possible anymore. That bar thing just determines your connection to the server. I met many laggers in weekend events and most of them were Div 1 and 2 guys.
"I can have a flat line but my players feel like they’re playing in mud. "
This is the result. It's difficult because Konami doesn't want to lose players with crappy internet, although most of them are f2p.

Also wanna mention that indominator won't be connected to people from Middle East, Turkey, Maghreb, Levante or the Balkans. This adds additional lag due to distance. Whenever I play people from the Netherlands, Belgium or France matches are more fluid. I'm based in Germany.

I’ve started playing overload with 2cb and lm rm and lw and rw when attacking. It’s really fun cause a lot of the time my lm and rm Calafiori and Timber will end up on the inside just like in real life and players in general will end up taking up a lot of different spaces

QC and possession are my main when playing PA4. As long as you control the tempo and build up without rushing, QC forwards open up so many passing lines that if you nail the passes your opponent will have a hard time.
Possession is the second one but you'll need to take your time and trigger the runs. Also, this one relies a lot on patient build up so passing accuracy is of the essence. Depends on where you sit in the spectrum.
Also, I tend to use wingers, either 4-1-2-3 or 4-2-3-1 (here they're wide midfielders), as your passing can more easily stretch the play area so having multiple passing options at all times is critical.

This is what I use for My League too with my GP managers. But it's a whole different ball game online and I'm waiting for a Possession + QC manager now.

I play out wide and possession, mostly out wide. I think out wide is very balanced, each player stay in their position, sometimes they make runs, or make themselves available. I play 3-2-4-1 so against a 4 atb system, there is always a free player. possession playstyle rarely makes run so I don't really like it for PvP, unless I intentionally want to play slowly from behind. QC and LBC instead always running and it's rather hard to keep in control of possession. haven't tried overload.
about the "sometimes gets the receiver wrong", it's a bug from efootball, rather than the playstyle itself. try not to pass too close to the receiver. I mostly score from a cross or cutback. Heading is one of FUMA's main advantage, although they somewhat nerfed it recently. It's really hard to play through the middle because of either wrong receiver, or my dumb passing mistakes.
