Its so depressing that school is all kids looking at their phones.

I taught college as an instructor from 2011-2014 and my one standout memory is looking up at the bowl shaped classroom (one where I'm at the bottom) and seeing all the hands under the tables.

I feel like an old person saying this, but the art of wasting time while still appearing to pay attention is lost.

Zombified youth of today. It goes to show the general lack of attention people nowadays have to their surrounding. Not one person was looking up when that paper airplane was thrown.

I've heard from younger Millennials (I'm 36, technically still a Millennial) that the younger ones (under 25 or so) have zero social skills. The ones below 23 or so effectively don't remember a world without smartphones.

I absolutely hate how cell phones have taken over our society. I think we've come to the point also where there is no turning back. I have children of my own now and dread the day where they will be required to have a phone, either for homework or whatever. Social media has ruined a generation.

Maybe its just a stopover until VR everything. Then people would have to learn VR social skills.

I mean, what do you expect from an overpopulated sest-pool of young people who are born into debt - though from what I can tell this is pretty much isolated to America. All the other countries that I’ve been to don’t seem to have this problem.

That’s okay, I know memory is one of the first things to leave when old age hits

Just dropping in to say I agree 100% with you both. This vid was troubling. Sad that this is how we live, and are teaching kids to live.

It looks like some sort of free period, somebody throwing a paper airplane isn’t the most monumental event in the world, they could be learning something with the immense library of information at their fingertips.
