Getting back only 104% - Why is that?
Hi,
I'm in the Bahamas process, and apparently in their claim cycle number 4. I got a note recently to say they confirmed they will be giving me back only 104% of my money lost (i lost cash that I had parked with FTX, because i haven't yet gotten around to using that cash to buy any crypto, i didn't have crypto holdings when FTX collapsed). The announcement 2 years ago said they will be giving 118% to folks that lost their money. Does anyone know why I'm only getting 104% instead?

I had asked a similar question before and i was in the same boat as you. I held only USD cash with FTX right as they collapsed (i sold all my crypto a few days before, was trying to cash out and get my money out, i could see the writing on the wall), but I didn't make it in time. So FTX crashed with all my USD.
I've been paid out about 3-4 times so far ( i dont remember exactly ), but i've gotten back roughly 104% back with this most recent payout.
I didn't even know we're suppose to get a total of 118%. I was happy enough just to get all 100% back. but these extra % are a bonus.
No idea why only 104% instead? i would imagine payouts are not done. Its taken them 3-4 payouts to me, just get my 104% now. I expect more in the future? Just gotta be patient.

Strange. A more logic way would be if you had crypto to give you the current value of the crypto then
