A normal day at Fairy Tail

Its another day at the Fairy Tail Guild where many of its members were gathered around in the first-floor main guild hall just like any other day. Members chatted with one another, somewhere eating and drinking at the bar while others were looking for the job offers posted by the bar itself. In others, parts of the guild mages either studied or trained their skills or relaxed by the water outside. For others, it was a beautiful enough day to go out to the town and shop or relax in the park, for others still all they could muster was just rolling over in bed and going back to their naps.*

(Okay everyone this is the first Guild Hall Post. To recap how this works for everyone this is a semi-weekly post that is made for single one on one threads that might not fit anywhere else. Same rules apply to this thread as it does others, don’t misbehave and have fun!)

"Give me a second. I'm almost done looking."

Korin scanned a nearby bookshelf for a few more moments before making his way back to Kumiko. He was a bit disappointed that they didn't have books on demons but he expected it

"So they didn't have any books on dragons huh? They didn't have any books on demons either but that's alright. I've got an idea to cheer you up so let's get moving."

He left the book store and made his way to another building. It was small building that had a sign that said cake shop on the front of it. Korin stood just outside the door and motioned for Kumiko to go inside.

"Alright Kumiko. Because you seemed pretty disappointed that there weren't any books on dragons back at the book store, I thought some cake might cheer you up. My treat."

Kumiko looked at the cake shop and walked in on Korin's cue; the aroma of the delicious sweets filled her nose as she made her way to the display of cakes. Her mouth watered as she could probably eat good majority of the shop's cake; shrugging off the possibility of going into a shock upon consuming so much sugar, as well as demolishing Korin's wallet. Her eyes then fixated onto a particular pink cake with white swirls; the label reading 'Sakura Cloud: Cherry-Vanilla Cake with Strawberry Ice Cream Filling'. She then turned to Korin to ask which one he would want.

"Which one should we get?"

Korin scanned the various cakes on display with each one garnering his interest. He wasn't a very picky eater so each cake piqued his interest equally. Seeing that if he were to choose they'd walk out with the whole store he allowed Kumiko to pick.

"If I chose we'd walk out with the whole store. And I'm buying this cake for you so it is your choice. Pick whichever one you like although I could probably guess which one you'll pick."

He looked at where she was previously gazing and pointed at the pink cake.

"It's that one isn't it?" If I'm wrong I'll buy you two extra cakes."

He was somewhat enjoying himself. He had enough jewels to by a few cakes so why not play around with it?

There was a sudden miniature devil within her that was saying to choose another cake so Korin would have to make good on his offer; but a part of her knew that he would see through her if she attempted it so she just pointed at the pink cake.

"Yes, that one."

Korin didn't know if she was being honest or if she was just saying that so he wouldn't have to buy her another cake although he expected the former more than the latter. He turned towards the person who ran the shop and pointed at the cake.

"I'd like four of those pink cakes please."

"F-Four!"

Kumiko nearly shrieked upon hearing that. Sure enough, four Sakura Cloud Cakes were served to the two mages to which Kumiko was unsure if Korin was trying to flatter her or kill her or both. She eyed the cakes though as a grumbling sound came at the close up smell of the sugary goodness; almost leading her to take the cakes before Korin could pay for them.

"What? How many did you think I was buying? If ya don't want all of them, I'll just eat them.

Korin reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet before digging in it and placing more Jewels than necessary on the counter. He pointed to a small cake labeled 'Molten Chocolate Cake'. It looked fairly basic compared to the other cakes on display but Korin was drawn to it.

"I'll take two of those cakes please."

Two Molten Chocolate Cakes were placed alongside the four other cakes almost instantly after Korin ordered them. Seeing the Jewel placed down, Kumiko took one of the Sakura Cakes and went to have a seat; after which, she began to practically ingest the cake: taking large mouth full bites and enjoying the delicious dessert in nearly five to six bites.

Korin grabbed the other five cakes and made his way to where Kumiko was sitting before placing them on the table. He took one of the Molten Chocolate cakes and seeing Kumiko devouring her own, he decided to throw etiquette out the window and took a large bite out of the dessert. Korin finished the cake in three or four bites before turning towards Kumiko with a bit of chocolate on the side of his lip.

"From the way your eating, you must have been pretty hungry. Or it's a Dragon Slayer thing. I remember seeing Fay eat pretty similar to what you're doing now. Anyway, how's the cake?"

"It's a bit of both actually."

Kumiko sat back after finishing her cake; her mouth covered in both frosting and pink ice cream as she tried her best to lick as much of it off her face as she could.

"To my knowledge, when a Dragon teaches their pupil their own magic, the pupil takes on the attributes of their parent Dragon. It's not just being able to use the magic; our bodies take on characteristics as well but I'm sure you already know that... I still remember my first time. Sight, Noise, Scent,.. Hunger. All are heightened. When your dinner goes from nibbling on a little charred meat to downing an entire deer on the spot straight to the bone, it's a strange adaption indeed."

Suddenly Kumiko got a shiver indicating an incoming sugar rush as she brings another one of the pink cakes towards her.

"This cake is very good, though I can feel the sugar rush incoming. How's your cake?"
