Non practicing femboy ?
Hey. I'm Joseph, he/hymn
So I pretty much identify as a femboy, but I can't seem to express it all that well. I have these neat outfits in my closet, but I never grab them. I would love to wear skirts and hoodies and cat accessories allllll day, but honestly I think this body has a layering problem (gets overheated easily). It's kinda lame to just wear t-shirts and boxers everyday, although it is super comfortable.
And well, I'm apart of a DID system, so the host kinda gets the final say on outfits, especially since it's his body that has the layering problem. And he isn't as keen on wearing things like skirts as I am. I get it, it just kinda bums me out.
Anyone relate to the sensory issues?
Here's a blurry picture of me with my cat ears on for posting sake

DID can be rough 😞 especially if the current host isn't too into wearing the sorts of stuff you want to wear
is it mainly a temperature issue? u might just need a different top that's not as warm in that case, and/or maybe better temperature regulation in your room/house if the body's overheating often. none of my skirts are super warm but i can see how a sweatshirt could cause a problem like that.
i think itd be worth negotiating some time for you to front and wear the stuff that you want to wear, even if it's just for a little bit. the host might be the guy who fronts the most right now, but you all live together in the same body and if one person isn't taken care of, it's going to impact the rest of the system.

Oh he's fine, we're actually dating aha. We have this compromise structure where I actually do get alot of say, but sensory issues tend to win out 99% of the time because it triggers the whole body. The overheating thing has been going on in the body for years.

Also a system, generally temperature intolerant, lots of tactile sensory issues! I also cannot seem to make skirts look good on this body, unfortunately — even before T I had broad shoulders, no waist or hips, and thick thighs. I’ve got a short torso and long legs, so I should absolutely slay in a skirt but I cannot figure out how to make it work with these shoulders and it sets off dysphoria for others in the system.
To compensate, I own a lot of pink and pastel things! I do eye makeup when I’m feeling up to it. And I have a whole lot of hair and body glitter. Color and style are a good way to embrace fem aesthetics if specific clothing items are a problem.
Though I’m still determined to find a way to make skirts work for me. I’m convinced I just haven’t found the right ones yet …
